:O But... But...It was SO GOOD. And that fucking ending made the entire first season just the start of the actual storyline! MOTHERFUCKING **********!!!!!! :(
No, the season's ratings were pretty dismal. It was a long shot for renewal at best. As soon as the last episode aired, fans were spouting off about getting DirecTV to help pick up a second season. When fans start asking DirecTV to save their show, you know it's in big trouble. Lol. :)
Alright Wilson, take a breath. You know, I know there's an unwritten rule about this particular word on this site but, given the nature of the show, I believe an exception can be made in this instance...
Also haven't seen it yet, but I was planning on watching it later this year since AMC really stands for high quality TV shows these days. Still planning to watch it, but I'm not in a hurry anymore.
It happens less because there's less original, scripted programming. As for The Middleman, you and me both buddy. At least we can see Natalie Morales on Parks & Recreation when it returns early next year.
The season did end with a conclusion although it did leave it open for another season. I enjoyed the finale although, like Lost, it split the fans I think.
So now Fringe is on Friday nites-same time as Supernatural(my other obsessive show) and then smallville is on right before at 8:00. These shows have all been proven to have high ratings for the 18-49 group. Maybe they just figure most of us watch it online anyhow so the time slot isn't an issue anymore. I've watched all the seasons 3 times the last year online while I still could. Hope cable doesn't ruin it for those of us who don't have bucks for both internet and cable!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Damn. That was a really good show. Instead of being canceled, I'll just pretend they were overwhelmed by zombies. It stings a little less that way.
ReplyDeleteoh... what the hell?! -.- *iz depressed*
ReplyDeleteIt was such a great show! Man. :(
Yeah it had a really interesting plot and characters, a lot of depth to it. Agreed about the zombies :)
ReplyDeleteCrap. :(
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it but I thought it had a quite decent first season ratings wise?!? Is this not correct?
ReplyDeleteOh come on!!!this was one of the best new series and the cancelled it after only one season?
ReplyDelete:O

ReplyDeleteWhat a shame. Is the end satisfactory?
ReplyDeleteOr is loads left unanswered?

ReplyDeleteIt's a conspiracy.
Hahahaha!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow sad....it's a really good show.
Since when does a cable company cancel tv series after one season anyway?
Oh, it happens. Blade, Players (Spike), Trust Me (TNT), The Starter Wife (USA), Huge, The Middleman (ABC Family).
ReplyDeleteOf course it happens, but never as often as it does on networks.
ReplyDeleteWhy did you have to bring up The Middleman.... i miss it so

ReplyDeleteI knew it...
ReplyDeleteRatings were pretty poor to be honest, although it was a very clever
ReplyDeleteand intelligent show. Really worth checking out.
Tell me about it. One of the few shows I made a point to download the
ReplyDeletevery next day :(

AMC. Story Matters Here.
ReplyDeleteApparently not.
The Starter Wife was a mini-series that got picked up as a series, giving it 2 short seasons.
