  1. Not bad for SV and SN
hope it goes better next week......it probably will as some of Desperate Housewives' viewership will go to Smallville....just a bit....

  2. I hope eventually this rating system will remove it's head from between it's cheeks and take into account the total (actual) viewership counts. SO many people watch TV shows online (myself included). It's drifting away from television and going to PC. Watch it for free with annoying advertisements, or purchase it for a whole 2 dollars (less than a coffee), either way they're getting their money. Grr, this is irritating. A lot of good shows are lost because of this antiquated rating method.

  3. Looks like Supernatural is about normal if I remember. I think we need TVmonkey to do one of those comparison charts about how this year's episodes compare to each other? I'm too lazy to look this stuff up on my own. :-) Please tvmonkey -one nice comparison so far...pretty please with whip cream and cherries on top.

  6. I still don't understand CBS, fair enough that Medium is getting just under 7m viewers but it wins it's time slot, pretty much, every week... My theory is that they moved it to Friday in a bid to cancel it so it can be replaced by the Criminal Minds spinoff

  7. I agree wholeheartedly.

  8. Sounds like CBS. They did that to Moonlight. I carried its time slot every week. It won the People's Choice Awards. It still has rabid fans who are at least trying to get a movie to end the show. CBS admitted it had what was needed but the fans began to feel CBS hated them. For a year they boycotted after the show was cancelled and CBS lost in the ratings wars. It's weird how CBS operates. To be honest, I don't watch the CSI stuff. Like Dean, I hate procedural cop shows. I do watch Hawaii Five O, but it's a little different.

  9. That's exactly what I meant. Thanks so much! I always count on you to let me know how the show is doing overall.

  10. The "It wins its timeslot" argument is a common one, and also a moot point. when it comes to canceling shows, it's more competition between the shows on CBS than the shows on the other networks: as of right now, Medium gets around 5-7 million viewers with around a 1.4-1.8 rating in 18-49 which is unheard of on CBS: they canceled Ghost Whisperer last season with ratings MUCH higher than this (I think 7-9 million viewers and a rating around 2.0-2.3) as well as the rest of their Friday shows except Medium. I think the only reason Medium wasn't canceled last season is that it gets a hefty profit on syndication on the Lifetime channel (like 1.5 million per episode I believe) and it's ratings were slightly around Ghost Whisperer's last season. However, it's completely collapsed in the ratings this year, and sadly, CBS has no patience with low ratings with as many mid-season replacements it has in the works... So, either Medium is down to 13 episode, low rated seasons from now on (highly unlikely) or it's finished. (More likely)... This is an attempt to be objective about it because really, Medium is one of my favorite shows and always has been since the pilot... It's sad to see it fall from the top 20 shows just 3 years ago, to almost unwatched now (especially since it's better than ever!)...

  11. Medium kicks butt in the time slot and it just doesn't matter!!!! Funny ratings don't matter either for Smallville it's competition. I'm gonna miss the Dubois like crazy, the best marriage on TV!!!!
