I didnt like the Shaw plot to be honest. season 2 was so epic, but i am enjoying season 4, i want them to deter from plots about his family. i love the show but the "family" part is getting stale for me.
Season 2? It's got to be 3 so far although I think 4 will outdo it eventually. No one liked Shaw but the amount of great dramatic episodes: Beard, Tic-tac, Other guys, Honeymooners, subway, ring pt ii. and a couple others made it the best for me.
Season 1 was really great but the full potential of Chuck exploded into the 2nd season, which was perfect from start to finish and made me become a fan of the show. Season 3 was really disappointing, the Sarah/Chuck relationship became annoying and cheesy in the first 13 episodes. Season 4 is much better so far, but it can't top season 2.
It was a tough choice between seasons 1 and 4, but I went with 4. Season 1 was really nice and looking back on it now, I just really like the start of the show..... getting back to the basics, ya know? Season 4 so far has been really great. I love the expansion on the whole family aspect and Chuck and Sarah's future together. Season 2 was okay, but it is definitely not my favourite, probably my least actually, even though I still liked it. It just seemed like it didn't have any super important episodes, except for the last couple ones of the season. Season 3 was just annoying. There were only a few episodes in the first half of the season that I don't get annoyed by thinking about. I love every episode of every season, but season 3 was just..... Idek. I loved "Beard" though. And I did enjoy the Hannah arc, but I HATED the Shaw arc. I think everybody hated him :P
Why "should have"? It isn't like many other shows on television have some stated mission towards which the show is building. Should every show end when the central couple gets together? Chuck is entertaining. Whether he is with Sarah or not, the show is fun to watch.
season 4 ! It just is so good and I like Chuck and Sarah relationship and the Mama B/Volkoff storyline! =) I would just say that season 3 was good with it's second half but I didn't like the angst they but between Chuck and Sarah :/
Such a hard choice. Every season has been amazing in it's own, equally different way because of the way the show is evolving, but I had to choose season 4 because the show just keeps getting better!
Season one was epic in the way that it was just like "here's this idea about a guy that downloads all of the government secrets into his head, and these two agents who don't like each other have to work together to protect him and the secrets." It is definitely a different idea, and the cast just knocked it out of the park.
Season two was great in the way that they kind of expanded on how Sarah cared about Chuck more than she should have (which I think all of us Chuck fans enjoyed watching..Yvonne really nails those emotional scenes) and to see how much Casey really started to care about Chuck, and think of him as a friend, even if he tried like hell to hide it.
Season three was just EPIC. With the Shaw thing, I think that the writer's really knocked that storyline out of the park, they did what they intended, even if maybe that's not what they intended. Which was to make us LOVE to HATE Shaw, and the second half of the season was just mind-blowingly good, especially The Ring Part II. I've rewatched that episode so many times that I'm afraid my dvd might stop working.
Season Four has been beyond epic. I love how they're mixing the whole Chuck/Sarah trying to find they're couple feet, with kick-ass missions. I've loved what they've done with the Casey/Alex/Morgan storyline, and I'd love to see more of that in the future. I love the Mama B storyline, I've always been curious about his mom, and I'm glad we're getting that cleared up. The only thing that could make this season even better would be another look at Sarah's past. I mean, we've met her dad, but I'd like to see more..maybe about her mom?
I like season 4 so far. Since the program finally got the Chuck/Sarah will-they-won't-they stuff out of the way it has opened the show up to tell different (and better) stories.
I would say its a tie between season 2 and season 4 so far but i voted for Season 4 just because i love the chuck and Sarah together!! Plus i think the plot this season has been the best in a long time for any show CHUCK IS AN AMAZING SHOW PERIODES ONE OF THE BEST OUT THERE !!!
season 2! exploring their pasts chuck's ex, sarah's father and casey's sensei, morgan becoming mature, sarah's intense hidden feeling towards chuck but at the end of the season sarah let it go heheh blah blah blah all those stuffs ( many to mention)
It's very hard to choose, but I went with the current season. The characters evolve, and as such each season is almost a new show. It reminds me very much of the evolution of the characters in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and it's one of the reasons I like 'Chuck' so much. Every season's characters have something to like. As the back stories for each gets filled in, I feel more emotionally engaged with each of the characters.
The actors/actresses seem to be developing their skills as well. Considering they started season one as 'very good', that in itself is an impressive accomplishment.
Of the shows I watch, 'Chuck' is the only show I actually adjust my schedule for. I think that says a lot.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
season 3 with the intersect 2.0 \o/
ReplyDeleteI can't vote! It's too difficult to choose!!!

ReplyDeleteSeason 2.
ReplyDeleteThe show has vocal fans and critics on the net (like Alan Sepinwall) that makes it seem more popular and better than it really is.
But it should have ended with the episode in Paris last season.

ReplyDeleteSeason 2, hands down.

ReplyDeleteI loved season 3 and the shaw storyline.
ReplyDeleteSeason 2 is just the perfect blend of everything.
ReplyDeleteThough season 4 is coming really close. Every time I finish an episode I say "Wow, that's the best episode yet!"

ReplyDeleteok i have to say it's hard to choose between s2 and s4 .. i have to choose both...lol
ReplyDeleteI think letting Morgan find out about Sam was genius!
ReplyDeletehuh??? i dont understand, what do u mean?..did morgan find out that sarah's real name was Sam??

Ugh! Basically, it means my fingers and my head had a disconnect. That *should* read:
ReplyDelete"I think Morgan finding out about CHUCK was genius!
oh hahahha..okay..yea, that was genius!
ReplyDeleteits a tie for me between season 2 and 4. season 3 was good too but i didnt like the whole chuck/hannah and sarah/shaw romance.
ReplyDeletethat's not fair!
ReplyDeleteI can't vote! It's too difficult to choose!!!
It is REALLY difficult to choose, but I chose 4th season, cause it is kicking ASS right now! I'm glad 2nd season is in 2nd though. <3
