So the injured character is Vance, right? The end was kind of confusing, they only showe Hadar hurt. Dammit, I didn't want it to be Vance! ¬¬' Sooo boring! :(
Didn't the words said by Ziva's father to her before getting into the Limo about them talking. Sound like the same comments made by Jack Nicholson's character to Tom Cruise's character in the end of A Few Good Men while sitting in the witness chair give or take a few change words?
That was intense. The team keep taking out the weapons one at a time, but they didn't know that the safe house was boobytrapped. The explosions kept getting bigger. It must have happened quickly and with a bang. Had to have been a bomb. Can't wait to see part 2. I'm sure Vance is OK.
Good Lord, seriously? Vance? I don't get it why it has to be him instead of anyone else in the team. Really was looking forward it's Tony. The whole episode itself was really great, except the fact that it's Vance. One of the spoiler said Tony would be humorless, but I still saw him joking. Hope the next ep will be greater than this.
Great episode! Kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time! Abby made me tear up tonight when she was encouraging Ziva to talk to her father. Makes you wonder what did happen to Abby and her father.
Kinda glad that the "victim" wasn't Tony or Ziva but when I read the spoiler and McGee was ruled out, I just thought they were the usual targets of misfortunes. Vance is the director of NCIS and directors at NCIS don't really last long. I mean, we've only seen three directors but out of the two before him: Tom Morrow left and Jenny Shepherd was killed off. Doesn't sound like a bright future for NCIS directors. Besides Gibbs, Tony's suffered about the same number of travesties as the boss (been framed for murder, inhaled powder that contained the plague, had his car stolen, was suspected to have been a victim of a car bomb, etc.) Ziva, I thought her getting shot at or blown up would have been a little overkill for having just overcome her trauma in Somalia.
Found Ziva's comment about how if she wants something in someone's pants, she just uses her hands. And, she was looking at Tony while she said it and Tony just looked shell shocked, LOL. Also thought the convo between Malachi and Tony was promising.
Wow!!! This was incredible. And weird,...... I already expected that we would get an insight into the relationship between Vance and Eli and into the relationship between Eli and Ziva. It seems we do get those indeed! Although somehow I had expected that Ziva would be the one who would get hurt in this episode. The only (mortally?) injured character I saw was Hadar. I do wonder what happened to Eli and Vance. I get the feeling, though, that neither one of those will be dead. I think Hadar is the one and only who's dead. After all, there's still Amsterdam to be explained and I think Ziva and Eli still have things to work out.... I liked it that Tony immediately caught on to Ziva's emotions. She didn't say anything, of course, but the looks....... Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next episode!
I REALLY expected it to be Tony! or at least Ziva, because, come on, dude! it's not like the show has made us feel like "Vance is our Pa, we love him and want to hug him all the time". We barely know this guy! So how can we really care about him being injured?? Isn't that the purpose? Making us feel sorry for him and even care for him PLUS getting to know him better? Not gonna work! I just think Shane Brennan lost an enormous gigantic amazing chance to tell us about Tony's past in a memorable way. #fact
I was so focused on why Vance got into the car and disappeared completely that I couldn't notice the resemblence between both speeches, although A Few Good Men is my favorite Navy movie, for God's sake! I'll watch the episode again and check!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

I know, right? And yeah, I think he's injured. The whole safe house blew so he was in it. I wanted it to be Tony. Who cares about Vance?

ReplyDeleteThe episode in which Tony will be humorless will be the episode after their Christmas break! :)
