I gave it a Great, purely for the Olivia-Tank stuff. I found the actual storyline a bit weak considering it's importance and premise. The brother was just robbing banks for money all those years ago, and creating holes which needed quarantining? Was the really it?!? Loved the Charlie, Lincoln, Olivia relationship too.
*cough* it was a device to (finally) give us some input on what that amber stuff is, since we've seen it repeatedly since season 1 but never knew exactly the mechanics of it, etc. To find out the people are still alive? That just freaked me out. To find out that Joshua had escaped when the bank was ambered and it was really Matt in the amber, that also freaked me out. To have the two brothers be a symbol for Our Olivia vs. Fauxlivia and then make Olivia figure it out herself "Just because two people look alike doesn't mean we're the same person" (to paraphrase)... on top of the Peter visions and the (RED!) pills, I say it was a damn awesome episode, even without the absolutely awesome transportation scenes. (When Peter brought up Ella's birthday I sighed and remembered how much I miss that little girl...) And all the other things that started to happen just DROVE ME INSANE: I couldn't help but smile when Olivia shifted towards her old tendencies and went against Broyles' orders, and then argued with him! It was just like the old days! And the snow globe falling, her getting to see her old side again, and finally lying to Walternate at the end--I think our Olive is coming home soon! Or at least she's realized who she is finally!
Amazing, as per usual. Over There is consistently hitting it out of the park; I can safely say that I prefer the characters and dynamics Over There and will miss it when the inevitable "war" comes to a head...
I loved it. I love Shawn Ashmore as an actor (just watched Frozen earlier) and was pleasantly surprised he was in it (both of him lol). The entire explanation about the amber was great. Yeah, I think Olivia now knows who she is and she will play walternate and the others. What I'm REALLY REALLY hoping for is that Charlie ends up going back with Olivia to "our" world.
I knew it was going to be Ella that would bring our Olivia back! I loved the red pills too! The best parts of the episode were Olivia in the tank and the hallucinations of Peter, though I did also enjoy the case itself. At least now we know exactly what amber does and that they've been using it since 1989. That wormhole in Central Park was crazy. And I think Alt-Broyles is starting to care about our Olivia. Wonder if he's going to help her get back.
What do you mean? Do you think the'll rebel against our Olivia once they find out? i think they should be more understanding of this (it's Walternate's fault she's still here) and help her get back, so they can have their Olivia too. This eps was really good overall.
its just that i read somewhere that scarlie and lincoln MAY not be on alt-broyles once they discover that a switch was made and olivia was subjected to certain experiments.
im not sure if they're gonna help olivia get back to our world. something tells me that the guy whose twin got ambered may be a key to this. im just speculating. coz i read somewhere that the ashmore brothers were important
also, you could go ahed and ask the creators/producers on twitter throught e-online. my questions got answered. mine was about andrew royo

The worst of the 5 so far for me.

ReplyDeleteThey need to find some way to make Lincoln a regular, even when the action inevitably shifts back to "over here"...I love that guy!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he will jump ship? :)
ReplyDeleteShawn Ashmore only played Joshua, his twin in real life, Aaron Ashmore, who has been in a lot of stuff according to IMDB, played Matthew.
