  1. Loved tonight's episode. I think Nina is on to Fauxlivia... and of course Peter is still oblivious :( But next week looks SO GOOD. I don't know if I can wait a whole week!

  3. *cough* it's "6955 kHz" but who's counting?
I think that while this episode was slightly less heavy on the WOW factor (like the action that we've been seeing lately with trains whizzing by, random huge explosions, killer pens with amazing camera work) it made up for it with exposition and a much-needed new realm of addition to the mythology of the series. I think the "first" people being slipped into the story arc was just sublime...Like a prehistoric warning about what the future may hold if history repeats itself somehow. Also, the seeds of Fauxlivia having doubts about how "Bad" our world actually is (remember she's been told that we're heartless imposters, etc.) so there's that issue. The pretense that she is holding up all by herself is really wearing on her. I could see the stressed desperate look on her face every scene when Peter would look away, and Nina completely jumped onto something about Olivia that was a strong tell revolving Fauxlivia's deceit. We might end up having her jump ship and try something other than her orders...Meanwhile on the other side, Olivia has finally been pushed to come back to our side. Wonderful setup for next week's episode. I really felt like this was the mythological episode that took what could've been a freak of the week episode and really made it 100% about what's coming up on FRINGE. There's just so much that we don't realize about what is going on, and this episode made me aware of that--we've been focused mostly on Olivia so I am glad that in a way, the perspective has shifted into the beginning of what will probably be the latter part of the season. I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!!! :)

  4. Anyone else think the "first people" are the Observers?

  5. Ho yes, that was an episode I have dreamed about. I just loved it, maybe more than any other this season. I don't think I've ever been so excited at the show then when we were waiting to find out what was in the rock at the end. First People, so cool.
This show is too good, I really hope the ratings at least go up a smidge. Review coming tomorrow also :)

  6. Part way thru last year I was considering not watching FRINGE anymore, but I am glad I continued!! This season has been fab! I guess I am drawn to the 'mythology' of the show and the continuing alterverse battle plotline. I am almost always drawn to the serial storylines than episodic or "one off"/"monster-of-the-week"... so no surprise I love this episode and this season!!

  7. Something exciting:

The First People by Seamus Wiles.

    Anagram for.... Samuel Weiss!

Sam Weiss, he keeps cropping up :P

  10. I thought that even before the episode because in the intertitle of the episode Over There, you can see First People written and in part 1 of the episode, Walter says that all people are capable of having abilities but something was done to humans at some point in history (and he suspected aliens :D).
Maybe the Observers are the last of the kind and don't interfere but just observe because they don't want the history to repeat itself so maybe at the beginning of human history, Observers did something to people to make them more harmless so we wouldn't end up like them :)

  11. You know what I think, Adam? I think I am still starving for your review of SPN season 1.
    :)

In other news, Fringe's mythology just added another dimension (no pun intended) of amazing caliber, and I am even MORE pumped for what's to come.
