  1. I'm guessing he's one of "them" (I'm still holding out that they're not aliens... I like people from the future more) who has some way of hiding the fact that he hasn't aged.

Though, that doesn't quite make sense since "they" prevented the attack he instigated.

Which is quite interesting, since there are either two quite independent camps of "them" who are hostile, or another whole player.

  2. Yeah I'm skeptical of the whole alien thing myself, it just wreaks of RED HERRING in my opinion. Seems to me that by jumping into the whole alien thing so quickly in the series, was obviously a misdirection. I think future people sounds much better, not to mention the comment that Dempsey made to Jarvis at his campaign about the Presidency being a done deal. To me I read that as known future knowledge, but it could be taken as he has power over the voters/elections.

  3. Think his "shape shifting" has anything to do with the kidnapped girls? Also, could his ability be an effect of the supposed synthetic sweetner he was drinking?

  4. I am fairly certain it is NOT shape shifting. My bet is that Dempsey is one of the "sleepers" and either aged due to some unforeseen event or the 'sleepers' are trying to find a way to age themselves and bland in. Think of all the young girls abducted and then when we see them they are all aged decades. I doubt 10 random or even not so random girls all have Progeria Syndrome. They might be test subjects and the "herbal sweetener" or serum he takes is either to counteract the againg, try to reverse the aging, or in fact the againg agent itself and part of his disguise. Iam not positive on any of this since they do make it seem as though Thomas in in charge of the 'sleepers' in the public.

  5. Yea I haven't got a grasp of how Dempsey relates to Thomas' splinter group yet. We have not seen a direct connection, but VP calling Dempsey to give infoe and then Pilot Buchanan getting the go ahead would SEEM to put Thoams and Dempsey in league. without seeign a direct connection though, it could be that as you stated they are rival factions or even both 'sleeper' splinter factions working on opposite goals.

  6. Im with you on this one.

My guess is that Dempsey is another group of entities (aliens or future beings like in 4400) who's prime goal is to create THE EVENT. They came here years before, even before Sophia's group came.

Maybe Sophia and the others came here to prevent the EVENT from ever happening. However, that doesnt make sense since Sophia's goal is to return home.

BUt my guess is the "herbal sweetener" is a way to reverse Dempsey's aging.

Im wondering where the FBI agent went. Whatever happened to her?

And Im also curious why Vicki suddenly changed sides? What did she uncover that made her say that she was played?

My guess is Vicki would end up protecting Sean and Leila. With the president gone, only Sean and Leila are the ones who know that something's amiss about THE EVENT.

  7. WTF was that??? ( that was my first reaction - the second is to come here ;)
Last week we got the creepy ending with the girls, now this, amazing
I like the thoeries I'm reading. Agree on the "not aliens" thing and on the two parties; think that's pretty obvious since Dempsey didn't want Sophias group getting out
Loving the fact that the show is so complex, I had to wrap my mind at first a bit about who's who and who could be playing for which team
I also kinda like Vicky; it's always great when a character switches sides. I think she really wants out and wants to protect her kid
Leila was great this episode - she chose the right strategy: if you can't go to the hospital, cause you're wanted, just kidnap a doctor ...

  8. is it possible that michael buchanan, and leila and samantha, are part of sophia's group? is it possible that michael is a sleeper agent who's initial goal was to help expose Inostranka to the world (that's why he leaked his files to the cookie conspiracy lady).

and dempsey somehow knows this, that's why he kidnapped samantha, force michael spearhead the assassination and at the same time harvest the girls youth.
