45 minutes? After a 51/52 minute episode last week... RLLY?! Y in the world are premium channels going the way of "normal tv"? SHO does NOT need advertisment on their own station that much... But, great episode... loving the season.
Actually, it wasn't ;). Check the start-time - about 3 minutes after (normally starts no more than 1 minute after) and the normal 60ish second intro... equals barely 45 minutes of show. I miss how HBO/SHO went full 58ish minutes with one, sometimes two shows @ 53-55ish minutes. Again, a 50 minute show followed by a 45 minute show is not cool for a "premium channel".
I was really enjoying all of the Lumen/Dexter scenes in this episode until the very end when Dex brought Harrison to see her. Now I'm questioning what it is exactly that Dexter wants out of this relationship. If he's subconsciously looking for a replacement for Rita, things are going to end very, very badly. Of course, they'd probably end badly anyway. This is Dexter, after all.
Yes. Dexter seems to be enjoying Lumen's company a little too much at the moment. Every time Dexter gets too comfortable with someone bad things happen to them.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteActually it was 47 minuts, which is still 6/7 minutes more than network episodes.
ReplyDeleteVoted OK, I expected more from this ep after last week.

ReplyDeleteYou are right. The entire runtime was ~48 minutes. 43:52 of that was actually new footage, not counting the promo in the credits.
ReplyDeleteI'll take quality over quantity.... but it was only an OK episode.
The first time I saw the title sequence I thought it was cool; but after 5 seasons it is just a waste of time, IMO.
I'm not sure what I make of the relationship either at the minute! Will be interesting. they have a weird chemistry together at the minute
