Pilot ShowsThanks to JosephMcLaddle for the heads up.
"Lost" exec producer Carlton Cuse has teamed with "Secretariat" helmer Randall Wallace on a Civil War-set project for ABC.
Cuse and Wallace are cowriting the pilot script for ABC Studios. Wallace will helm the pilot should it be picked up. Both will exec produce.
Details are sketchy about the project other than that it is envisioned as an "event" series and it is set in Virginia.

I hope it has time travel.
ReplyDeleteThis looks better than the other "ex-lost producer" projects. (Alcatraz (JJ Abrams, Sarnoff), Alphas (Jack Bender), Odd Jobs (O'Quinn, Emerson) and Once Upon a Time (Kitsis, Horowitz, Lindelof))
ReplyDeleteHopefully Odd Jobs will be good at the very least.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually pretty intrigued by Once Upon a Time. I think it could be either really good or really bad.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious what they mean by an "event" series. But I love me some period shows (thinking Deadwood).
ReplyDelete(PS. Hey, that's me! :P)
Would be epic if they added some sci-fi elements, not just resort to tell real history.
ReplyDeleteexactly what i was thinking
ReplyDeleteJust saying after LOST both Cuse and Lindelof have set the bar for themselves, as far as writing, pretttttty high.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Jules Verne's "Mysterious Island", which was arguably one of the biggest root stories for LOST... was also set during the Civil War. Hmmm...
