It doesn't make much sense, you know, to judge season six after only nine episodes...
can I vote for seasons 2, 3 and 4? :P it's too hard to choose between them! (gun to my head, I guess I'd go for season 4, but no gun, no vote lol)
season 6, so far so good, but who knows what comes later? waay to early to consider it in polls like this (although I know I already like it more than season 5 ;))
I honestly can't choose just one season! I love them all! Though truthfully if I had to pick a favorite, I'd say probably 2, 3 and 4. Those three have some of my favorite episodes in them. My absolute favorite to this day has always been Mystery Spot and that's in Season 3. Heart would be my 2nd favorite on the last and that's in Season 2. Man...going back and thinking about all the old eps makes me so sad. =[ I miss our Sammy so much that it hurts. Please please please Sera, PLEASE don't make us wait much longer for Sam to be re-souled. Please. ;_; She keeps saying that ep 11 ends on a hopeful note, but how hopeful exactly? *sighs*
Id have to say Season 4 Season 5/6 Season 2 Season 3/1 And the reason I didn't like season 3 that much is because I knew the whole thing with Dean selling his soul wouldn't be resolved until the finale.
Not voting in this poll - sorry but I can't decide which to vote for. :( It's still too early to vote for season 6 anyway - but loving it so far :) S1 - SPN was still finding its feet - but some great episodes S2 - 'There's Something About Sammy' and the aftermath of John's death - some great episodes S3 - stuffed up by the writer's strike but some of the greatest episodes - Mystery Spot, Jus in Bello + others S4 - Angels, demons, demon blood, Lilith etc - some great episodes S5 - Lucifer, angels, Crowley, apocalypse etc - some great episodes S6 - like I said - too early to decide - but some great episodes
Sooooo.......please don't make me choose.........I love it all.......every episode in every season has something to like.......even if just occasionally it came down to the pretty men whose acting skills made something good out of nothing special........
And let's not forget this is the best tv show EVER - as voted by US!
Sometimes I think we take our show for granted, but it's like family - you stick by them through the good times and the bad
There has been a lot of people saying that this season s horrible, has ruined the brothers, etc...but just to get a message out there, it's like this every season. Different reasons, but in essentials the same argument. And yes, I am dissapointed that people are accusing Sera of ruining the show, cause I'm personally loving it. So this is a message of encouragement: To those that still love supernatural, don't let opinions get you down! It's your show! :)
I CANT CHoose. I usualy pic want then think about other season and realise I LOVE them so much... I dont know... I LOVED season 3, introduction to lisa, she is my fav since then. LOVED season 4 angels was awesome loved ruby loved the demon blood and im a cas girl what can i say? SEASON 5 oh god, epic much? And so many great episode in that one, that FINALE gosh. I'm really loving the season 6 robosam is killing me (in a good way) love love love it, but we'll see in the end if it works. I'ld be desapointing if some of the things that lloks like mistakes right now are not explained.
Then there is season 2 and season 1. The start of the show. I can say I like s2 better then s1. so i guess. my fav are s2 to s5. to early to tell for s6 and then s1. But its like... so close with s1... I CANT DONT MAKE ME ahhaha. Benders was so awesome. I want an other one like that haha, that its not supenatural just creepy and discusting human ahahah. AW! This show is awesome. :DDD
You know, i understand that some dont like it but I want to "hurt" (was gonna say kill lol) them when they bitch Sera. C'MON! I wanna give her a big hug and tell her how much I think this season is AWEsome. Its new but its the same LOL its perfect. plus they said it was like an other show, so this is 1 season, they can have some mistakes. None of season 6 felt like bugs or route 666 (both of wich i didnt hate that much but still). LOVE LOVE LOVE! I just thinkn its so imature and mean to say they want to slap her for what she did? wtf. SORRY had to say ahahaha. I feel better now.
Plus remember season 5 finale.... how many people trashed Eric? THE "Genius" of Supernatural how dare you LOL!
I adored S5. The emotions were turned to 11 as the Winchester's raced to the finish line. I absolutely adored the fact that Castiel was more often than not in the episodes. Season 6 has kicked total ass (and I'm in love with Soulless!Sam, but I miss Cas like crazy.
Season 3 rocked for sure. My only complaint was that it was a shortened one! I think S3 was when I REALLY caught Supernatural fever. Three episodes in and there was no way I could survive without it. :)
I agree. Way too much negativity. There's always things that irk the fans, but the show has made us love it regardless. I plan to enjoy the mindfreak ride they are taking us on.
Strictly by the numbers (as in number of episodes I liked vs disliked, excluding the ones that were in the middle) it's season 1 and 3. By number of episodes in my top 15 it is season 2. By story arc that had me most engrossed it is season 4. I'm not including season 6 in my vote here because it hasn't been on long enough to judge. That only leaves season 5, the worst season by far to me. Which means that it was still the best season of TV I saw last year (although Burn Notice came close). It's too hard to judge seasons against each other because they each had their own strengths and weaknesses. I guess I go with...um...eeny meeny miney moe.
For me it's: 1. Season 4 - Castiel and the angels. Made the show more epic and set Supernatural apart from other genre shows I've watched. 2. Season 2 - more complex episodes, better connection between the brother drama and the moftw cases 3. Season 3 - brilliant episodes (Mystery Spot, AVSC) but weak overall season story arc 4. Season 1 - very simple episodes
But season 6 rocks and depending on how they end the season, it could become my new favorite.
Season 4 really? I wouldn't have thought. I found it the absolute worse ever. And I love the show like there's no tomorrow. I also love season 6 so far. I hope for many more seasons like season 6
Not many people will agree but season 3 for me, It was the last time i feel that they all had freedom, sort of, i mean dean was so reckless which was fun and like after that it was all angels and seals and demons. it just seemed more relaxed, not the most engaging but very enjoyable
yes the writer's strike sucked but still it gave us Bad Day at Black Rock, Bedtime Stories, Mystery Spot, Jus In Bello and No Rest for the Wicked! need I say more? 16 episodes only and most of them are still favorite. (Androniki)
ME TOO! When I do a marathon I start with s3. I think that s3-4-5 are my fav then I watch s1-s2 and realize how great it is ahaha. Dont know why I always forget. Espacialy season 2. I guess its cause I watched them to quickly haaha. GOD I wanna watch NOW but i cant i have to read Stupid school!
ha ha ha ha too much good drama since s03 that we always forget the great episodes s01 and 02 gave us. John's death, Dean's speech on Sam's death bed, Dean killing YED heartbreaks each time I rewatch. I usually rewatch a past episode each week when I have a day off or when I'm home and bored but I usually chose a s03 or 04 one.
The major story arc was lame (we all knew how it was gonna end), but it only has 3 weak episodes ( The Magnificent Seven, Red Sky At Morning and Ghostfacers). The rest of the season is awesome, and it's has more classics than any season (BDatBR, AVSC, Mystery Spot). Plus I loved Bela and Ruby ^^
Season 1 and 2 were by far the best, haven't loved it as much since then if i'm honest. Still watch every week without fail but nothing melts my heart like the original seasons with the less complicated brotherly love, joking, straight forwardness and none of the rubbish angel/demon/apocalypse drama that was just too big for my little show.
Season 1 and 2 were undoubtedly the best for me, simple, uncomplicated, beautiful, joking brotherly relationship with a touch of angst. Those are the days i look back on with nostalgia and none of the seasons since have come close for me. I still watch every week without fail but none top the days where it was just Sam, Dean, Metallicar and the open road hunting and searching for Dad. I miss the days when the sucky angels/hell/heaven/apocalypse storyline didn't dwarf all, it was too big for my little show in my opinion.
Word the mythology in s4 was horrible and the angels and heaven/hell changed this show from 'two brothers who hunted random creatures in the night and looked for their dad' to 'two brothers who are responsible for the fate of the entire world and heaven and hell' too much.
Ok, I've been thinking about it for a while now and here's what I've come up with:
Season 2 was a rockstar in the season's atmosphere and family/brother relations. Season 3 was a rockstar in the best episodes ever. Season 4 was a rockstar in mysteries and overall season mytharc.
season 1 was great, but it was just beginnings of the show. better things came later. season 5 was too apocalypse-heavy and too predictable. the weakest one so far.
season 6 is a bit back to seasons 1 and 4 for me. Monsters and random hunts + big mysteries and some heaven/hell business. Looking forward to how it evolves.
Season 4 is my favorite, but Season 5 and 2 are a close second, but for completely different reasons. Season 6 comes in third because I'm loving the movement, but it had a few lower points. Season 3 and 1 just didn't pull me in as much.
Add The Kids Are Alright, Fresh Blood, and A Very Supernatural Christmas and you've got some of the best episodes ever. Season 3 rocked right up to the strike and then it unraveled as they tried to keep the same overall structure with 6 less episodes. Boo strike!
Season 4. Because it was the most consistently awesome. And there was really a step-up in quality.
I love season 2 but the quality of the episodes wasn't as great as in season 4 (in my opinion). Season one only found it's feet about half way through, but it really stands out in the series as really showing off Supernatural's horror roots. Season 5 had some awesome episodes, and was pretty much consistent, but the mythology arc just wasn't executed as well as it had been in other seasons. Season 3 had some of the best episodes of the series, but if they weren't awesome, they were.....kinda bleh. Definitely the most inconsistent season. (These were in no particular order by the way...)
BDaBR, Mystery Spot and Jus in Bello are all high on my favourite episodes ever list. The Kids Are Alright was AMAZING, so was Fresh Blood. Seriously, the storyline for that season was weak, but the episodes were overall the best of the series.
way, way WAY too hard to decide thinking back, i've loved every season, season 4 being the only weak link for me i'm tied b/w seasons 1, 2 and 3 just because they were all so awesome and carefree before the whole angels thingo started
Wow I'm surprised Season 4 is the one with the most votes! For me, that wasn't one of my favourites, only because that was when the brothers started growing apart (Sam started drinking the demon blood.. :| ). For me it's either season 5 or 3. :)
Random theory about Crowely, So we have met Azazel, Lucifer and whatever, Crowley calls himself king of the crossroads and all this other stuff to make us think he is some super upper class demon he also obviously has alot of power. I think he may be Supernatural's Version of Beezlebub. thoughts?
I think season 1 will always be my favorite. <3. Old school hunts before things got biblical...LOVING the biblical though. ;). I just kinda miss the "before" attitude a little bit. Yep, season 1 is my fav.
It was a hard decision for me because I have loved every season but I chose Season 4. Having Dean come back from Hell and learning about the turmoil he had been through was very heart wrenching. When he finally told Sam it made me cry. Now for Sam who obviously became messed up from his brother ending up in hell was interesting. He went against what Dean asked him because basically Sam told him he was there alone and had to survive. Of course, turning to his dark side was not the best way to go. Becoming involved and manipulated by Ruby and then becoming hooked on the Demon Blood made for an interesting story. When Sam broke the final seal it was a sad realization for him that he made so many mistakes not listening to Dean. I truely enjoyed Season 4.
Not sure anyone will read this 2 or 3 weeks late, but as I just started watching SPN...
1. Season 3 2. Season 2 3. Season 1 4. Season 4 5. Season 5 (Only half way finished so it could change)
For me 3 had the best episodes I could watch over and over. IT also had the least meandering around unlike season 4 and 5 so far. The overall plot line was not as deep... go kill the released demons, but it the religious elements of season 4 and 5 seem to meander all around. Angels are all knowing, in the dark, God's holy messengers... not in communication with God. Plus overall the religious element is getting old. Maybe it will pay off in the second half of the season or season 6? Season 4 started off awesome, but then petered out until the last few episode to me.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Loved season 5 but season 6 is kicking ass!
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 and 5!!!!!

season 6, so far so good, but who knows what comes later? waay to early to consider it in polls like this (although I know I already like it more than season 5 ;))
I love season 4, season is garbage and season looks terrible..........Supernatural is great but down after mid of season 5
ReplyDeleteIt's between Seasons 2 and 4 for me...
ReplyDeleteIMO, This is my list:
ReplyDelete6. Season 5
5. Season 1
4. Season 6 (so far)
3. Season 3
2. Season 4
And number 1 is Season 2.
Although I can't really judge Season 6 right now... were not even halfway in...
seasons 3 and 4 for me. I don't understand why so many people dislike s03. It was amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love all the seasons so much but if I have to choose one, it's the Season 2 :)
ReplyDeleteSeason 5 for me definitely :) Not to mention that it has the best trickster episode ever.
ReplyDelete1. Season 5
2. Season 6 and season 4 are kinda tied even though there have only been 9 episode of season 6.
3. Season 2
4. Season 1
I hope season 6 keeps being as awesome as it is. Oh and I hope they have a weechester episode this season :P
Season 5 for me definitely :) Not to mention that it has the best trickster episode ever.

ReplyDeleteSeason 1 and 2 for me .
ReplyDeleteI definitely think a lot of the best episodes of the entire series took place in season 3 :)
ReplyDeleteSeason 2
ReplyDeleteId have to say
ReplyDeleteSeason 4
Season 5/6
Season 2
Season 3/1
And the reason I didn't like season 3 that much is because I knew the whole thing with Dean selling his soul wouldn't be resolved until the finale.
Not voting in this poll - sorry but I can't decide which to vote for. :(
ReplyDeleteIt's still too early to vote for season 6 anyway - but loving it so far :)
S1 - SPN was still finding its feet - but some great episodes

ReplyDeleteGOD thanks. When I starting this show I checked wat people said about it and i couldnt believe how many poeple didnt like the season 3. ITS AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteyou konw you didnt put season 3 rigth?

okay shuting up now bobye
Such a hard question, but I went with season 4. That was the first season that I began watching
ReplyDeleteOne hands down! Season one is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI adored S5. The emotions were turned to 11 as the Winchester's raced to the finish line. I absolutely adored the fact that Castiel was more often than not in the episodes. Season 6 has kicked total ass (and I'm in love with Soulless!Sam, but I miss Cas like crazy.

But season 6 rocks and depending on how they end the season, it could become my new favorite.
Because the overall story arc of season 3 was..... meh, to phrase it nicely.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice. Season 2 was excellent. First season where the writers really understood how to use their monsters to tell us things about the brothers.
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 really? I wouldn't have thought. I found it the absolute worse ever. And I love the show like there's no tomorrow. I also love season 6 so far. I hope for many more seasons like season 6
ReplyDeleteNot many people will agree but season 3 for me, It was the last time i feel that they all had freedom, sort of, i mean dean was so reckless which was fun and like after that it was all angels and seals and demons. it just seemed more relaxed, not the most engaging but very enjoyable
ReplyDeleteyes the writer's strike sucked but still it gave us Bad Day at Black Rock, Bedtime Stories, Mystery Spot, Jus In Bello and No Rest for the Wicked! need I say more? 16 episodes only and most of them are still favorite. (Androniki)
ReplyDeleteSeason 3 is the one I always re-watch first during the Hellatus! Season 4 gave us Castiel so yes I love that season too (Androniki)
ReplyDeletecouldn't agree with you more :) (Androniki)
ReplyDeleteI think it was because it was so short with the writer's strike.
ReplyDeleteME TOO!
ReplyDeleteMe too!! I love season three jsut coz off the episodes! Ghostfacers was awesome!
ReplyDeleteI loved every season, but 2, 3 and 5 are my favorites so far. And I have to say season 6 is pretty awesome already!
ReplyDeleteso short but still gave us amazing episodes. most of my favorites are from S03
ReplyDeleteha ha ha ha too much good drama since s03 that we always forget the great episodes s01 and 02 gave us. John's death, Dean's speech on Sam's death bed, Dean killing YED heartbreaks each time I rewatch. ReplyDeletehum true heheh. AW I can,t wait for christmass lol. I feel a marathon!
ReplyDeleteSeason 3 for me :)
ReplyDeleteThe major story arc was lame (we all knew how it was gonna end), but it only has 3 weak episodes ( The Magnificent Seven, Red Sky At Morning and Ghostfacers). The rest of the season is awesome, and it's has more classics than any season (BDatBR, AVSC, Mystery Spot). Plus I loved Bela and Ruby ^^
Season 4 is my favourite because it has Cas and Chuck!!!!! They are the best characters ever!!!
ReplyDeleteSeason 1 and 2 were by far the best, haven't loved it as much since then if i'm honest. Still watch every week without fail but nothing melts my heart like the original seasons with the less complicated brotherly love, joking, straight forwardness and none of the rubbish angel/demon/apocalypse drama that was just too big for my little show.

ReplyDeleteOk, I've been thinking about it for a while now and here's what I've come up with:
ReplyDeleteSeason 2 was a rockstar in the season's atmosphere and family/brother relations.
Season 3 was a rockstar in the best episodes ever.
Season 4 was a rockstar in mysteries and overall season mytharc.

ReplyDelete1. Season 2
ReplyDelete2. Season 4
3. Season 1
4. Season 3
5. Season 5
6. Season 6
I want the brothers nicely together! I want Sam back!!!

ReplyDeleteSo we have met Azazel, Lucifer and whatever, Crowley calls himself king of the crossroads and all this other stuff to make us think he is some super upper class demon he also obviously has alot of power. I think he may be Supernatural's Version of Beezlebub.
thoughts?
It's so hard to choose, I especially loved season 2, 3 and 4 :P
