"According to insiders, the CW's new pilot Secret Circle, based on the book series authored by The Vampire Diaries scribe L.J. Smith, is expected to help fill the LUX void midseason. Writers/producers Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain, who were behind both The Vampire Diaries and Angel, are helming the new series. "
previous reports however had Danni Lodowski in development for midseason and The Secret Circle for Fall.

Thanks for rubbing salt in the wound, entertainment reporting community. You couldn't give fans and people associated with the show a day to grieve?
ReplyDeleteThis is like a realtor giving potential buyers a tour of the home you're being evicted from while you're still in it.
ooh really excited for the Secret Circle! I hope it gets picked up!
ReplyDeleteIf I were the CW I'd move NIKITA out of the Thursday 9pm slot and put SECRET in it's place, try to cash in on having a lead like VD. NIKITA can fill the 9pm on Tuesday or Wednesday (if they move HELLCATS) to Tuesday behind OTH which would probably be a better fit.
ReplyDeleteMON
8-90210
9-GOSSIP GIRL
TUE
8-ONE TREE HILL
9-HELLCATS/NIKITA (EITHER)
WED
8-ANTM/SHEDDING FOR THE WEDDING (WHATEVER)

9-SECRET CIRCLE

how they can promote the series well if they didn't have any episodes filmed? Will they be able to film episodes before the end of January?
ReplyDeleteIt could be ready in time for say a Late Fevuary/ earlier March premiere LUX should still be around in January
ReplyDeletei definately see Nikita moving i guess just Nikita to tuesday 9 Secret Circle to Thursday 9 to minimize changes
ReplyDeleteWow! This is really fast. Sorry LUX fans, but I will definitely watch the first 3 episodes of Secret Circle, given that I like the book so much in high school.
ReplyDeleteWow. they are moving fast on that one. Honestly, while I really have enjoyed LUX, I couldn't sit through more htan just this season. It's sort've declining into a generic CW show, but if this new show can be more like TVD and SPN than GG or 90210, I'll be on board. :)
ReplyDeleteThat makes the most sense to me. And while I'll be watching FRINGE at that time, I DO finally have a DVR to record it. If they can match half the brilliance of Angel or half the obessive pace of TVD, I'll be happy with it.
ReplyDeleteHa lol. Great analogy
ReplyDeleteI really hope this becomes a series very soon. Very awesome series
