This is not new; it's just a shorter version of the full length trailer (link below) : http://www.nbc.com/the-cape/video/the-cape---full-length-trailer/1228325
Summer Glau said it looks like it's going to be on mondays but its just rumors at this stage. Though it would be great to have Chuck and The Cape the same evening. Do you believe Summer Glau guest-staring on Chuck is, just a coincidence?
It's not a coincidence because of the contract that she probably signed with NBC; other than that, I don't think there are other reasons. I just don't see how The Cape can fit in the Monday schedule, all 3 of the shows that currently air on Monday have a full-season order. My guess is that The Cape will fill Undercover's slot (Wed 8/7c).
Wow, this looks pretty cool. I like the comic-books-like style. And i could certainly go for a good superhero show, especially since I was very disappointed with No Ordinary Family (which I have given up on). I hope people will tune in for this. It seems many people are keen on not giving a chance to new shows on NBC these days, even though NBC has several very good shows. I don’t really understand the aversion to NBC’s shows.
Well, i'm not familiar with NBC scheduling, but you can't deny there is a lot going on these days, considering the low ratings for NBC's shows. You have almost every week a cancellation or a delay on the airing anounce (see The Event). Your guess is the most obvious of course but NBC could put The Cape on monday and let Chase or The Event quietly dye on another slot.
I don't think the aversion is to linked to NBC's shows, but more to NBC. Because NBC does have really good shows. People just feel let down by the network that usually always disappoints.
NBC new schedule is here and that's almost exactly what i told you :
MONDAYS 8-9 p.m. – “Chuck” 9-10 p.m. – “THE CAPE” will premiere with a two-hour episode on Sunday, January 9 (9-11 p.m.). New episodes start in its regular time period on January 17 (9-10 p.m.) // “The Event” (returns on February 28, 9-11 p.m.; resumes in its regular time slot March 7)
Chase is moved on wednesday, till his probable death on march. The Cape takes The Event slot momentarily, till The Event comes back on march.
My guess (my hope) is that The Cape will have better ratings than The Event and that this monday schedule will last for the entire season. NBC can move The Event at another slot or delay its reappearence till summer, i don't care.
I have the exact opposite opinion. I was VERY discouraged by the first promos and clips of the pilot episode. I saw something eye-rollingly corny that would flop like a fish on the beach. This promo was a more positive sign for me. The most positive sign is the excellent supporting cast. Keith David, James Frain, Vinnie Jones, and Summer Glau is one hell of a group to fill out a show with.
Is it Summer Glau performing aerial silk ? She’s not associated with the carnival; however, she does know who Vince is, and she does try to warn him at one point. It could be that she’s undercover.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteNICE! Excited for The Cape.
ReplyDeletehm I'm a bit disappointed, the first promos looked better

What's the point of casting Summer Glau as geek bait and not featuring her in the promos?
ReplyDeleteCome on NBC, we want more Summer Glau.
Don't forget to watch today's Chuck episode !
ReplyDeleteSummer Glau plays the new Greta.

Yeah, I guess you were right.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, things doesn't look good for The Cape, NBC doesn't seem to have confidence in the show.
