JEFFREY DONOVAN SET TO DIRECT
“BURN NOTICE” PREQUEL MOVIE
STARRING BRUCE CAMPBELL

Matt Nix to write and executive produce

LOS ANGELES, CA – Tuesday, November 30, 2010 – Jeffrey Donovan is set to direct the upcoming BURN NOTICE MOVIE starring Bruce Campbell. Shooting will begin in January on location in Bogota, Columbia. The two-hour movie will air on USA Network in Spring 2011.

The prequel, set in late 2005, begins after a faction of Colombian rebels makes trouble for the locally stationed military platoon, with Lieutenant Commander Sam Axe (Campbell) being sent down to advise. As the mission unfolds, Sam begins to uncover the dark secrets of the area, learning the truth about sacrifice, deception, and ultimately what’s worth fighting for.

BURN NOTICE creator Matt Nix will write and executive produce. Donovan and Campbell will also serve as executive producers on the Fox Television Studios project alongside Mikkel Bondesen (“Burn Notice”).

BURN NOTICE continues to be one of the hottest shows on television, as the #1 scripted show on basic cable this past summer averaging 3.4 million in P25-54, 3.1 million in P18-49 and 7.3 million total viewers

  1. I am so excited for this prequel. I love Sam and i hope this will lead to more prequel movies about Michael and Fiona.

  2. Looking forward to it too. It wouldn't have to be a movie, but I would love for at least an episode of flashbacks to when Michael and Fiona met. My only concern is that they were quite a bit younger back in those days. :-)

  3. I thought this was a go when they announced it at Comic Con. It's odd they'd announce a film that didn't have a green light. I was thinking about this the other day and wondering if the film had gone into production yet. Obviously not.
