He directed 1 episode of BSG in 2005 and 3 episodes of Caprica in 2010 so he know the universe of the show.
A month ago I think I read that this pilot is in fact a 2-hour movie (with the option to make a series out of it) that will not air until late 2011/early 2012, is that true? If it is, it's going to take very long to see a series Blood and Chrome series, maybe late 2012.
DarthLocke: Yes the series/Pilot is said to air as early as fall 2012, but may not start until the beginning of winter 2013. Casting is starting now, David Eick has commented that Nico Cortez (he portrayed William in the Razor Flashbacks) is top on the list for William "Husker" Adama, but in a recent interview, Cortez has stated he hopes to return, but hasn't heard from SyFy or BSG/Caprica show runners.
There is also a role for female lead, computer scientist, Beka Kelly, who challenges young Adama.
It's true the series itself has yet to be green lighted, but it seems probable that it will.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
