One thing that we've wanted to do for a while now was to reward our great commentators here at SpoilerTV. The company that we use for comments have just released some Analytics software which now makes this possible.
Each month, we will reward 1 Commentator with a DVD Box set of their choice up to a maxiumum of $50.
This will be done at random but to be considered you have to meet 1 of the requirements below.
1) Be in the top 5 for the month for Most Active People
2) Be in the top 5 for the month for Most Liked People
3) Be in the top 5 for the month for the Most Liked Comments
4) Be in the top 5 for the month for the Most Replied to Comments
One person out of the above list will then be selected each month and be sent their prize.
However, for our very first winner for September, the SpoilerTV staff thought that this occasion we should award it based on our top Commentator for the Month. Therefore our first winner for September is Dahne1 for their continued excellent comments throughout the site. Please email me darkufo@spoilertv.com so that I can organize your prize.
So keep commentating, liking and discussing your favourite shows and who knows, you maybe Octobers lucky winner.
Notes:
1) Comment Counts are reset each month so everyone starts afresh
2) People leaving just random, gibberish, spammy comments just to increase their comment count will have those comments removed.
3) This competition is open to EVERYONE no matter where they are located.

Um wow! What an honor! I'd like to thank both DarkUFO and Adam for helping me work off the withdrawal pains of hellatus. Thanks to my job for giving me time off in the summer to discover this website. I'd also like to thank my fellow SPN fans for giving me so much to comment on. And I can't forget all the SpoilerTV commenters who have put up with me since July. But most of all, this is for you Mrs. Coontz, who told me in third grade that I would never get anywhere if I didn't shut up. :-P Guess you were wrong!

It's a refreshing change that encourages people to share differing opinions, which in turn makes things more fun. ReplyDeleteBlame the Supernatural fans not me. They always start such great conversations. Plus, occasionally I do shut up. As for people "liking" each other, I think it will have the opposite effect. This comment section is a good example with people liking others all over the place.

ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened to me when I switched to Disqus, but there was a line on the top of my profile page on the My Activity tab that said something about claiming guest comments. If you click on it, it should allow you to reclaim what you said. It does not however add any "likes" you got on those comments to your profile. Glitch in the system?

Nice idea, I remember when this site was in its diapers and I was on the top 5 commentators, now I'm 10th and slowly decaying haha. Since Dahne1 came in we've all been raped :D And I didn't feel like participating in the site during the hiatus between May and September so I fell behind a lot of places then...

Also, If I wanted to win the most replied-to section, I'd just go post on a "what did you think of X supernatural episode" saying the show sucks, and everyone will flame me lol

This is a really nice web site, I've recommended to several people, posted it on my facebook a few times, because if you like spoilers on your favorite TV Shows and movies, or if you don't like spoilers but like to know about things news worthy when it comes to movies and TV shows, this is the place to come! Even if prizes weren't given out, I think it's still cool because you have that List and it's nice to see your name and picture up there. Show it off!
And thanks for this web site. Love it! I try to post as much as I can on the shows movies that I enjoy but sometimes I forget to post on something specific because I missed that episode!
