CBS dramas rose across the board Friday night while NBC's newbie reality effort School Pride eroded further and CW's sci-fi block slipped.

Medium (6.5 million, 1.4) spiked 27%, CSI: NY (10.3 million, 1.9) rose 12% and Blue Bloods (11.1 million, 1.8) gained a tenth.

NBC's School Pride (2.8 million, 0.7) dropped 22% from last week's timid debut. Fox's Good Guys (2.3 million, 0.6) hit a new all-time low and ranked as the night's lowest-rated show.

The CW's Smallville (2.5 million, 1.0) was down 23% and Supernatural (2.5 million, 1.1) dipped a tenth.

  1. I hate that Medium comes on at the same time as Smallville. I shouldn't have to worry about tv on a Friday night, but Somehow it's become the busiest night of the week for me. (Medium, Smallville, Supernatural, and The Soup...)

  7. Glad to see "CSI:NY"s ratings up. Hope they will be better. Although Melina's absence is felt for now, I think Sela Ward is a very good replacement and fits well to the soul of the show. She is witty and funny. As the season goes on, we will get accustomed to her existence in the show. The 7th season has started very well and is going on so. Hope CBS doesn't pull its plug or it will be a shame. After all, name "CSI" is enough for not cancelling it.

  8. It beat 3 shows in the key demographic. That's not bad for the CW which usually ranks dead last. Plus it wasn't coming off of the 200th Smallville episode like last week. That bumped last week's numbers. I'm pretty sure this week's numbers were better than the third episode's.
