The boyfriend hallucinations wrap up halfway through the first season and second season steers away from the cookie-cutter episode style. If you liked the Observer episode, then you should watch the episodes that deal with the main mythology. 1x14, 1x17, 1x20, 2x01, 2x04, 2x08, 2x10 and then pretty much all of it starting from 2x15 and onwards! I promise you that it really picks up momentum. :)
I watched a few episodes with my sister and I found it funny, the few cases I saw were interesting and it was great that it had some sci-fi elements lol (with the girl screwing Dean's father from Supernatural ghost lol ).
Still kinda hard for me to watch religiously a show like that...the most similar thing I watched was House, which I saw 5 seasons and a half
yeah I've heard that it gets good after the first half, I only watched the first 8 episodes of season 1...and although they were kinda good, I didn't feel like NEEDING to watch the next episode. I always like the cold opens and I think my favorite episode was The Arrival, with that Observer guy...really creepy hehe
But then I started noticing a repeating formula...weird cold open, the black dude appoints them the case-of-the-week, they get some weird technology from that company (or it turns out the crazy guy worked on something similar in the past lol), and then through some scientific talk they get the bad guy...also Olivia hallucinates about his boyfriend :D
Should I watch the rest of it? I'd like it if for example if instead of the "case-of-the-week" it was a "case-of-the-season" or something making me want to watch the next episode :)
Wow. Not very many South Park fans here then is there? I thought the episode was great.
I will also be watching Vampire Diaries and Nikita. I'm still on the fence with Nikita but it keeps holding enough of my interest to keep me coming back the next week.
Watch The Mentalist. I know... it's a procedural... Believe me, I hate procedurals too. But this one is quite different from all those forensic based procedurals and it's really interesting to watch (the upcoming episode is gonna be awesome if the trailer is anything to judge by). Watch The Big Bang Theory. This is the most hilarious show I have seen since Friends.
P.S. Fringe is good, too. I did not recommend it to you because if you haven't liked it after watching 8 episodes, you won't like it now.
Depends which eight episodes of Fringe you watched. If it was in season one I recommend watching a few specific episodes but mostly going straight to the halfway point of season two, where it gets really really good! :)
I'm assuming your prejudiced against procedurals and if so, I salute you my friend, but seriously, if you want a good show, go for grey's, its procedural-like but the main focus is on the characters, and then you'll be sucked into private practice :D
Damn so many shows on Thursdays and I only watch The Office...would be nice if someone recommended some shows ha...see:
-Grey's Anatomy: procedural and telenovela-like -The Vampire Diaries: Twilight vampires -Bones: procedural -Fringe: watched 8 episodes...procedural, not really likable characters. -CSI: procedural -The Mentalist: procedural -Big Bang Theory: kinda silly and I hate laugh tracks :D -Private Practice: procedural -Nikita: mmm...I'd have to check it out, although I think it might be just like any other case-of-the-week, spy show. -30 Rock: don't even know what it's about, I'd have to check it out
and all the others I never heard of or I don't know what they're about :(
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
