  1. Weekend at Bobby's is up there on my list of favorite episodes ever, so that's why I chose it!

  2. I voted for Weekend at Bobbys :D Wasnt too sure about exile on main st, but it gets better each week :)
Have to admit im worried about the next one :/

  3. It was a toss up between 'The Third Man' and 'Weekend at Bobby's'. I found both to be equally awesome to watch, but I finally chose 'The Third Man' for greater Sam coverage.

  4. The third man :) I liked having Cas back and there was more brotherly dynamic between them then there was in the previous two episodes. And one of the biggest reasons, they killed Sam's 'car' in that episode :)

  5. Weekend At Bobby's, although as much as I loved it, I don't want focusing more on other characters to be a regular thing. I still want it to be mainly Sam and Dean. Maybe one more episode focused on Cas dealing with the heaven thing though?

  6. Weekend At Bobby's was AMAZING. It blew way past the other 3 episodes, even if the first 2 were pretty great and the 3rd one had some funny lines.

  7. That would be epic, but they couldn't pull that out...after all angels have lion faces and all haha

  8. i'll always go with the one that the brothers re united again finally
so it's gotta be Exile on main street

  9. So far Exile on Main St because it was so completely different and new than everything we saw in previous seasons but I'm very excited for 6.05 and if it's just half as good as I expect it to be, it's gonna be my new favorite episode of s6.

  10. Weekend at Bobbys, it was perfect!

  11. hehe I agree about Sam's car :pppp

  12. Weekend at Bobby's for sure. Focusing on Bobby really grounded that episode and gave it a good vintage Supernatural feel. Although The Third Man is definitely a close runner-up :) I loved seeing Castiel in all his angelic badassery.

  13. AW I cant believe I didnt vote for my Castiel. Sorry babe. But for me it's exil on min street. I know a lot of fan didnt like it and for me it was just WOW! It's the episode i've seen the most, think im at 12-13 hahaha.

But these 4 epiosdes are like really high in my fav ever. Third men, aw.

  14. Lol, looks to me like the season keeps getting better and better. Even the poll is showing that.

  15. I really liked last night's eppy, but so far, the return of Cas and everything in "The Third Man" makes it my favorite of the season.

  17. Weekend at Bobby's was easily the best, then Exile on Main St., then Two and A Half Men, and finally in the rear is The Third Man.

  18. Ooooh, so difficult! I love-loved Bobby-John, but Weekend at Bobby's was super-great. I really loved how we got to see what Bobby's life is like. Yeah. Weekend at Bobby's it is!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Loved the part in the Weekend ad Bobby's when that lady heard the screaming from the basement and gave Bobby a look, and he said something like he had a thing for horror movies.
    So many funny quotes!

  20. I don't know. After last season, I began to think what next could they do? After Armageddon, there's not much they could do unless it's rebuilding life on earth. But it seems like they got some stuff up their sleeves. : ) Maybe they can pull it off if they were to do it!

    ReplyDelete
  21. It will always be mainly Sam and Dean. Don't worry.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I voted Weekend at Bobby's for all the reasons everyone else has given - won't bore you all by repeating everything. No one (I don't think - sorry if I missed it) has mentioned how appropriate 'The Gambler' was to both Bobby and the episode - not exactly classic rock but perfect nonetheless.
The season just gets better with each episode, and as someone pointed out even the poll is reflecting that. I just want to blow a big fat raspberry at all the naysayers who said there shouldn't be a 6th season.

  23. Weekend at Bobby's by far. I liked the Dean back story, Lisa/Ben, and Dean and Sam working together in the pilot. Episode 2 brought back the humor a bit, killed a Campbell, and increased the mystery over Grandpa Creepy. Sam's car dying was the best part of episode 3, but it also had Cas telling Dean that he didn't come because Dean called either, introduced Balthazar, brought back the snarky one-liners, and best of all, NO Campbells. ("I think we can rule out Moses as a suspect.")

But for me Weekend at Bobby's surpassed them all. Starting with the great guest characters of Crowley, Rufus, Sheriff Mills, and even the neighbor lady, the story had humor, drama, and a thoroughly ticked off Bobby. Grouchy!Bobby is one of my favorites. His smack down of the self-absorption of Dean and Sam was classic. It was about time Dean and Sam stopped taking advantage of him and show a little gratitude. Bobby and Rufus's Grumpy Old Men banter was another reason I really liked it. First it made the monster exposition refreshing instead of dragging down the plot; plus it showed how much they respected each other and their skills while still being insulting and funny. I loved the casualness of the whole "bury the body" conversation like they do it all the time. I could do a whole paper on how awesome Crowley is but my favorite part was when he was looking rumpled and out-of-sorts because he became King of Hell but didn't count on dealing with all the freaking demons that come with it. His abbreviated conversation cutting off Bobby may be my favorite bit a dialogue in the whole episode. There's also the whole going to Scotland bit. I didn't see that coming because Kripke swore they would always stay in the US. It was a great twist that the boys would take care of things on that end. I expected them to get some random hunter or maybe even Cas. Finally, Weekend at Bobby's gets my vote because Bobby has the best tools. The backhoe made me roll with laughter. Loved Rufus's reaction too. But the wood chipper as death tool was more awesome. The neighbor lady being covered in blood and guts while revoking her offer of dinner was fabulous. Poor Bobby is never going to get a date. Even the small touches like getting Jensen's dad to be the newscaster voice in the opening scene made this episode pure fantastic. Oh and let's not forget the phone bank from hell. It will be hard for the next couple of episodes to top this one.

  24. i loved the third man and weekend at bobby's. They were both really good episodes. It was so nice to finally have a bobby singer episode!

  25. After finally seing Weekend at Bobby's, I voted for The Third Man. I love Bobby and the episode was pretty interesting and refreshing, but well, nothing except Sam and Dean can beat my love for Cas :P and then, the fourth episode was kind of slow and not very exciting. It was different, which is good, damn, it was cool to see everything from Bobby's point of view, but man, the season 4 feeling about The Third Man won it for me. Season 4 is my everlasting love, so... :P And there were the best one-liners in that episode. Some funny moments. Some fighting moments. Some gross and bloody stuff lol And mostly, some serious brotherly business ;)
so yeah, so far it's The Third Man, but I really expect the next episode to be pretty epic ;)

  26. I enjoyed "The Gambler" too. It's classic country and that seems to fit Bobby better than classic rock anyway. Or maybe a mixture of the two.

    ReplyDelete
  27. i have to agree, weekend at bobby's was something new and refreshing, but i forgot to mention this on the actual "what did you think of weekend at bobby's" but it lacked the suspense i love about supernatural. it was entertaining but just didn't give me the thrill i love so much.

and so i'm going to have to go with the third man, it had castiel, AND a shirtless sam. and the destruction of the charger. what's not to love?

    ReplyDelete
  28. "I don't need you to fight my battles for me, moose! Get bent!"
    Crowley=WIN.

    ReplyDelete
  29. And, if I'm not mistaken, the new neighbor lady had "M. Ward" on her mailbox. Is that some sort of shoutout to M. Ward the musician? I LOVE his music with She & Him, and the Monsters of Folk. :P

  30. "The Gambler" + Bobby searching for books + "BALLS..." = Supernatural CLASSIC.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Actually, there was a shitload not to love about that episode...if you weren't being rhetorical... :)

I actually felt more of a suspenseful SPN-vibe from Weekend at Bobby's than I felt for The Third Man.

  32. Weekend at Bobby's! I loved it so much :D
I thought The Third Man was great too, it was so awesome having Cas back, but my favorite so far is defiantly Weekend at Bobby's :P

  33. Yet another thing to love about Supernatural - all those little details they throw in to see if we're awake!

    ReplyDelete
  34. hmmmm... maybe i'll have to rewatch the third man and reassess. i must admit, my memory is like a sieve and chooses only to remember the better moments of things after a while. and to be fair weekend at bobby's was a lot fresher in mind. O.o

  35. With the exception of Swan Song, this is one of the best Supernatural eps I've seen since season one, and I'm not being nice because Jensen directed it, I really do mean that. I played it back and watched it again on DVR for the little things a director asks for, like when Bobby drove past the neighbor waving, and the way he looked back in the mirror, when she came over and they were straightening themselves up before opening the door, and the best parts were Bobby and Crowley imitating each other. I'm very impressed and thought Jensen did an incredible job. I truly hope he will direct more, though I do miss seeing them in the eps.

  36. yeah, I totally agree with you. Weekend at Bobby's was entertaining and interesting just because it was different, the supernatural world from another point of view and I liked it, but it definitely lacked suspense and I already said it somewhere, it was kind of slow. On the other hand, I loved the speed action of The Third Man. So personally I don't get why everyone went so crazy about this new episode, it was cool, but it wasn't mindblowing. It had a very cool atmosphere around Bobby and his life, it was a nice change, but for me it wasn't as great as everybody seems to think.

    ReplyDelete
  37. My favorite was Weekend at Bobby's, but I almost voted for The Third Man, i loved both, but the first two was just simply awful...

  38. I hope Jensen will do commentary on this episode so we know more. :DD

  39. The Third Man and Weekend at Bobby`s are my favorites this season so far! In The Third Man we got Cas and the Impala back and Sam`s car got smashed ;) and they were finally back on the road again! In Weekends at Bobby`s were so many great guest appearances , (Crowley/ Rufus/ Sheriff) and it was the typical spn humor and an amazing story. I did miss the brothers a little, but to get an insight of Bobby`s life was incredible! Jensen did a really great job with this episode.

  40. Really good episode by a mile this season jensen do more lol . No it was a good story aswell x

    ReplyDelete
  41. One of the reasons I loved it so much was the humor - yes Bobby was deadly serious about getting his soul back (which he did by outsmarting Crowley the king of hell - go Bobby!) - but it's been a while since we had an entire episode to laugh at.
I think they're setting us up for a couple of really heavy episodes - they did that in season 5 with Changing Channels and then The Real Ghostbusters before slamming us with Abandon All Hope. True, WAB didn't give us a whole lot of insight into the season mytharc, and it wasn't nailbiting suspense, but we did learn something about Crowley (bet he's gonna be gunning for Bobby now), and that it's not just Sam and Dean who rely so heavily on Bobby, and that Bobby can be just as ruthless as any other hunter when he needs to.
I didn't find the episode slow at all - it may not have been all action all the time but it definitely had me riveted right through. No, not classic Supernatural, but a truly awesome episode in its own right IMO

  42. Okay that was a hard choice, I'm really loving S6 :). I really loved "Two and a Half Men", "The Third Man", and "Weekend at Bobby's" too. I voted for "Two and a Half Men" because Dean was so amazing with Bobby John, those moments we're priceless :). But I absolutely loved "The Third Man" too because Cas returned :). TOTAL DEAN & CAS GIRL <--------------
