Yeah, they kept racing to the steakhouse. They didn't go back.
I enjoyed this episode immensly but felt it was always going to go one of two ways, Robin winning or the whole gang winning. (or losing) It brought back some of the old story telling devices that have been missing from HIMYM as of late which Im really glad for but I was expecting some epic style top gear race, and whilst it had glimmers of it, it just wasn't to be. Great if slightly dissapointing episode.
He just proved he isn't a jerk - thanks to him, Robin won the race.
For me the episode was... OK. I was expecting the best episode ever (that's what producers said multiple times), but after watching it, I was kind of disappointed. I guess It was fun to writers and all staff to create it, but for people watching this It was just another episode. Nothing bad, but nothing great either. Although I like the idea of Robin winning this race - It will help her a lot, because right now, she is even more sad than Ted after leaving him at the altar.
BTW: I don't understand - where were they racing first time? They've all met there and then they decided to go back to the bar, so how the hell did they end up @ Gregor's steakhouse? Did I miss something or what?
I love Barney as much as the next person, but they can't make him do ten stupid things in an episode and think that one nice thing will redeem him. He is not a jerk, stop making him one all the time! :/
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Easily my favorite episode of the current season.
