With as badly as ABC's new shows are doing, this is no surprise. I wonder what night they plan to air this show?
ReplyDeleteNew reports are saying Wednesday, but to be honest these extra episodes surprise me, grey's and private practice both had nine episodes in their first series. I thought Shondaland would keep up this trend, not sure how well this will fend.
ReplyDeleteIt's really more up to the network how many episodes are made as opposed to the production shingle, e.g. Shondaland. As far as how it will fend, I'm not sure either. I do know that ABC needs plenty of filler because of the holes in their schedule so you can expect the network to give this show a big promotional push.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but I'm not sure how well people are going to react to another Shonda medical drama, don't get me wrong I love grey's and private, and I'm gonna be all over this, but then again, ABC don't seem to be too worried about their schedule, they've already cut V's order, so who knows whats next?
ReplyDeleteI certainly understand your concerns about adding a third medical drama to the network. I was skeptical about the idea when it was still in the pilot stage. I really thought Shonda Rhimes was crazy for going back to the same well three times. I thought ABC was even crazier for going ahead with it. Now, ABC has no choice but to roll with it.
