  2. I hope someone else picks up The Gates. It was good. Scoundrels was lacking something, I am not surpised about it.

  6. I liked the Gates, but honestly it took too much of my Sunday Tv viewing time away from other better shows.

  7. I watched Scoundrels and I think I liked the cast better than I did the actual show. The writing on that show wasn't really good at all. Great casting, sub-par show.

  8. UGH!! First My Generation now Scoundrels! Damn you ABC I haven't disliked them this much since I heard they were cancelling Ugly Betty!!

  9. Now, now. They gave Ugly Betty 4 seasons. That show fizzled out on its own.

  10. I loved both of these shows. I'm pretty ticked off right now

  11. Ah man. The Gates had actually evolved into must-see-TV for me. Gone was the tacky "Desperate Housewives" feel of the show and in was the gritty, darker themes. Damnit.

  14. you're probably right to stop Detroit but NOF is still the most successful ABC new series so far so i'd assume it will get at least a full season personally only newshows i watch this season are The Event, Mike and Molly , Nikita and Lost Girl which are all doing at least - ok - so i'm real lucky this year :)

  15. What a pity about Scoundrels. I really liked it.

  16. I'm starting to feel the same way. Being in the UK I can wait to see how the shows do in the USA and then I know whether to commit time to them. The only 2 shows I download and watch from the USA the next day after airing are Rubicon and The Event. All the others I just wait now.

  17. I just deleted all episodes of No Ordinary family and Detroit 1-8-7 from my DVR....I am not going to get into another series on ABC. I loved them, so that means they will pull them mid season or no second season with a huge cliff hanger. I love the Gates and I did more advertising for the show than ABC did.

Thanks ABC, for giving me the strength to TURN OFF THE TV and find another hobby!

  19. for f*cks sake. does abc do anything but sit around decidig which fans hearts to crush and which shows to cancel? I mean c'mon. Scoundrels was decent but once you got into he Gates it was pretty darn good, and there's still tons we don't know, and that cliffy?! I mean seriously! And to add to the list we My Generation, Happy Town, gawd knows what else. I don't know why I even start watching shows on that channel. :/ I'll prbs just stick with GA and PP and forget new shows, cuz they just take them all away. :/ Ugh.

  20. damn, I agree that The Gates wasn't a fabulous show, but it did have some interesting stuff
and I kinda was hoping for the "Zombie Season" ;) Oh well...

  21. I didn't like The Gates right from the start, but it had something interesting. And after that ending I really hoped to get some more answers in season 2...

  22. so stupid. I love the Gates. Must stupid companies cancel shows before they get farther in the plotline? Haven didn't have a crazy amount either and they just renewed it days before the finale, to see where it'd take them.

  23. ABC was never a favorite channel...but I loved The Gates and couldn't tell enough people about it...good PR for ABC! However, all is lost with the cancellation of The Gates. I am very disappointed and hope some other channel picks it up! I think ABC needs some NEW blood...what they have seems over the hill!!!!!

  24. ABC is a network tha is full of dickheads who don't know what the hell they are doing. The Gates will be miss. But if ABC ever pull bullshit like this again, they will regret it. And they wonder why people don't watch the shit they do put on.

  25. Dammit! I loved those two. I was REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEASON 2! GA DAMMIT! *sob* *sob* why? Ok fine, they cancelled them because they weren't getting ratings/money. they have to make money off these or they can't continue their other piece of shit shows like Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor, CAUSE THE WORLD NEEEEEEEEEEEDS THOSE SHOWS! AMERICA WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SURVIVE WITHOUT THEM!!!!!!! *gasp* *sigh* I'm just crushed. I don't usually watch ABC, but these gave me a reason to flip to that channel. I'm sad to see them go. *sigh*.........

  26. If you want an ACTUAL good show, you should watch the NZ version of "Scoundrels". It's the original. and wow is it so much better than the craptastic American version. it's called "Outrageous Fortune" in NZ. I just finished the series, and man... I loved every episode.

  27. It figures. It seems like when my fiance and I like watching a program it gets cancelled.
