    As I read, "On the Fringe: John Noble embraces a mad scientist and his sane counterpart," my initial thought was, "And who is supposed to be 'mad'?"

    Although "our Walter" set the events in motion that led to holes in the alternate universe, "Walternate" seems to me to be the less sane of the two — I mean, "Walternate" appears actually to intend to destroy an entire universe!

    And if that's not "mad," I'm really not sure what might qualify.
