David Eick revealed in an interview one of the new characters of "Battlestar Galactica's" up coming spinn off TV movie, and possible seires, "Blood and Chrome"

"The character is Beka Kelly, a software genius that Eick describes as being "enigmatic and seemingly impenetrable... [someone who] gives Adama a run for his money." Young Adama will connect with her in the pilot as he experiences his first taste of combat fresh out of cadet school. Beka has yet to be cast but some lucky woman out there should land this female lead role within the next month or two."
