Bones - Spinoff being developed
22 Oct 2010
BonesThanks to Bruce_F and Me_NR for the heads up that Deadline is reporting that ...
Fox's veteran procedural Bones is developing a potential spinoff series built around a character that would be introduced as a recurring on the series this season. Casting for the role is expected to begin shortly.
Are you interested in seeing a Bones spinoff?

It certainly could be. Another example is NCIS LA and the upcoming
ReplyDeleteCriminal Minds Suspect Behaviour spinoffs.
I guess we'll just have to wait for some more details to emerge.
I would like to see a spinoff series of Bones, it wil be like private practice. A recurring role from the series and many crossovers. Right?
ReplyDeleteI hate when they make spin offs with none of the main cast in it... it practically isn't a spin off. So no, I'm not really down for it.
ReplyDeleteNothing yet. As soon as we get any more info we'll be sure to post it.
ReplyDeleteNo hints as to who will be playing the recurring character, no?
ReplyDeleteI don't think neither Booth nor Brennan would be on that spin-off, the point of a spin-off is to be build around a secondary character, it doesn't have to weaken the main series.
ReplyDeleteAs longas it has Booth and Brennan in it, we'd love to see as many spin-offs as they can make. :D
ReplyDeleteYep, it would not feature the main cast.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'd be interested in seeing how this turns out, as long as it doesn't take away any of the Bones cast (at least while the show is running). But, if this gives us a chance to still have the Bones characters even after it's cancelled (hopefully no time soon), then I'm all for it :)
ReplyDeleteDavid Boreanaz got his Buffy spinoff with Angel, and I loved Angel for the first 3 seasons. After that, it was mostly terrible.
This reminds me of Buffy. They removed Angel and created a new series. Stupidest idea ever.
