Hey guys, We're BACK!
As of course many of you are aware, we had to postpone and go back to rectify the cheatings of a River Tam fan, which saw the character excluded from the Competition. Dark has worked with Polldaddy, to improve the system as best we can, and so we feel it is okay to finish off the final three days of the competition.
Today is merely to get back to where we were, Semi-Final two, and the winner of the four characters today will play Clark Kent in the Semi-Finals, before the winner of that tie facing Jack Shephard in the Final.
The four characters are the ones affected by River Tam. In terms of the bracket for people who joined in, the characters amount of votes today will say who got further in the competition, and to make it fair as it is a four way poll today, people get two votes each.
The four characters are:
Jack Bauer (24)
Abby Sciuto (NCIS)
Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Malcolm Reynolds (Firefly)
Good luck to the four characters, may the best one win :)
Tomorrows Semi-Final will look much more like the rest of the competition, so don't worry about that. The stats will be back!

ReplyDeleteWow, such a close vote! I chose Spike and Mal, hopefully one of them can go against Clark and win. Glad that the poll is back! Hopefully this time sans cheaters.

did not know that lol. But compared to clark and his justice league they can easily take down Abby and NCIS! BRING IT! (i miss chloe!)
ReplyDeleteA fan of River Tam found a way to vote multiple times (1,000's) and rigged that whole side of the poll. Not sure if others things like the nominations were rigged by the same person too. Someone had far too much time on their hands. Dark worked with PollDaddy to fix it and here we are.

ReplyDeleteUh, Malcolm Reynolds is still in the competition, I'm surprised. It's weird that apparently the Firefly fans who cheated on River Tam polls didn't do anything wrong to help him.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Jack Bauer and Spike, two legendary characters, they would totally deserve to be in the semi final, even though I guess NCIS is more popular on this site that 24 and Buffy, sadly.

ReplyDeleteI love that quote but my favorite Spike moment is when he kills the Anointed One so there's less ritual and more fun. That was when he became my favorite villain. So sorry they took him out of the role because that was when he was most fun.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Abby. That's what I get for not reading the directions carefully. Oh well, Spike. I hope you don't lose by one vote :-P. I know Abby does not have a chance to win (even if she is winning now) but she is one of the best female characters around and I adore her. She is the heart of NCIS and makes all the other characters more human.

ReplyDeleteNice that we get two votes, it would have brought tears to my eyes being forced to choose between Mal and Spike! :) Okay, not really, since I have adored Spike since I first saw him, and with the character development, whilst still always being himself at the core, how could I not choose him!? ;) But I'm glad that I got to vote for Mal as well :)

Spike and Mal for me.
ReplyDeleteI do have issues with Spike's characterization but at his best, he was pure awesome. And Mal was just a big damn hero.
Spike post-season 3 kinda spoiled the character for me. Though, I must admit, I did like him in Season 5 and especially in the "The Gift." Then it really went into character assassination territory.

They weren't really Firefly fans per se, they were deluded Summer Glau stalkers.
