Vampire DiariesWe've just learnt that The Vampire Diaries are currently looking for a new and possibly recurring villain called "Elijah" who will first appear in Episode 2.08

Considering the name origins, this is certainly most interesting thing.

Together with the judaistic origins of A prophet who would raise the died and punish people(and who is said to return to the earth before terrible event happens), there's also his older name origin:
Elijah is also a figure in various folkloric traditions. In Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania, he is known as "Elijah the Thunderer" and in folklore is held responsible for summer storms, hail, rain, thunder, and dew.
Whats more interesting is that he is the "opposite" to Lilith. And guess what? Lilith is often depicted as the mother of all succubus. vampires, etc.

And guess what? "Petrov" surname originates from Bulgaria, the same country from which the Elijah folklore originates.

Those were old casting sides from "Let the Right One In" and Frederick's lines. Why would they do that?
