I hear you. While I thought Beautiful Loser was an inspired choice for the montage, I expected ACDC pounding through the beginning of a premiere. I'm guessing you're right and the mellower sound has to do with shaking us out of our Supernatural comfort zone - it worked for me! My hope is that at some point (sooner rather than later) we'll get that shot of Sam and Dean riding in the Impala together with Back in Black along for the ride.
I demand the Return of the Impala, accompanied by Back in Black. Speaking of classic rock, it was totally missing from the premiere. I hope this is to reflect the tone of the premiere and the difference in the characters, and not indicative of cost cutting or anything like that... Thoughts?
Lol, I love Bob Seger too but am used to a more raucous introduction. And the 'One Year Later' instead of 'The Road So Far'. MISSED THAT.
It worked for me too! But yes, a petition is necessary if we don't hear some AC/DC soon. I actually ended up listening to my AC/DC CD's to overcompensate ...
I am a SPN addict(4-6 eps/day) and because of that I will take anything as long as Sam and Dean are in sufficent quantities, quality doesn't even matter at this point...AS LONG AS I GET MY FREAKIN FIX!!!! With that said I am sure I will become more critical or appreciative of our new leader's (Sera) vision and direction. For now she is forgiven for NO IMPALA( and classic rock),BARELY mentionable brotherly interaction and sacastic humour.
I love the humor of the first clip. Gives me hope that the utter lack of humor in the premiere was a one-time thing. I want some snarky one-liners, Sera.
My bet is that they don't get that far. Grandpa Creepy and the CSA will kidnap it just like the djinn. If only to make us wonder what they are up to. I can't wait for the blowup between Dean and Gramps though. I hope Dean lays it on the line and lets him know that not every one is brainwashed.
If they do not play Back in Black when they FINALLY roll out Metallicar again, I will be writing in. That song - that car. It's as perfect a match as Dean and Sam. Can't wait to see it again.
So...if the spoilers are correct, Grandpa Campbell wants this..."baby" to be a monster hunter? A little oxymoronic, no? I mean, I get Dexter's "I'm a monster killing other monsters" but...IDK if it applies here. Just one more reason to not trust Samuel.
Dear CW I can't help but notice you left a key bit of information out of that clip. I'm sure this was by mistake and in no way was intended to leave me desperately wanting more. In light of this small mistake I am willing to forgive you if you go back and add the remaining 15 seconds to the end of this clip you accidently cut out.
Just had a thought: the only thing weirder than seeing Sam and Dean with a baby (monster or otherwise) would be seeing Cas with one! I know he's not in this episode, and I know it's going to be great, but just imagine it for a second.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteBob Seger's not considered classic rock? Heathen! LOL.

Monster babies are cool. I bet Dean struggles to destroy it but that Sam has no difficulty
