  1. I noticed that too. Of course, it's probably a bit too early in the season to tell, but I would have thought with all the hype surrounding The Vampire Diaries that there would be viewers to back it up. I suppose time will tell...

  2. Nikita is a big brand, it's something that can't fail except if you dont have talent for writting a scripts.Lets face it CW did a great job with all their shows. The Vampire diaries are big hit, thjey wouldn't cancel something that bring money, in my opinion Gossip Girl right now is defenitly the most boring CW show, then Hellcats but teenagers are hooked up so they stay.

  5. Finals-

The second week of the CW’s Vampire Diaries and Nikita both saw declines among the CW target women 18-34 (as well as adults 18-49). Vampire Diaries 2.4 women 18-34 rating was down 14% (and a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating was down 13%) from its premiere, and Nikita’s 1.5 women 18-34 rating was down 21% (and a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating was down 14%).

    The Vampire Diaries
    - 3.012 million viewers
    - 1.9/3 HH
    - 1.4/5 A18-49
    - 1.7/6 A18-34
    - 2.4/9 W18-34

    Nikita
    - 3.195 million viewers
    - 2.1/3 HH
    - 1.2/3 A18-49
    - 1.2/4 A18-34
    - 1.5/4 W18-34

  6. The Big Bang Theory is in my opinion the only half hour comedy left today that makes me laugh out loud. It is brilliantly/ingeniously written. I personally believe Vamp Diaries may struggle a bit because there has already been ten million gadzillion vampire shows and movies.

  7. Vampire Diaries does really well on iTunes so my bet is that the CW takes it into consideration also.

  8. Nikita is the first CW program in years that they want to appeal to an audience beyond the W18-34 demo so those numbers aren't as important as they are for their other CW shows. The fact that there was only a tenth of an 18-49 rating point difference between TVD and Nikita is the most important stat here.

  9. Wow Nikita Is actully doing better than The Vampire Diaries. It looks like Fringe Is hurting Vampire Diaries a little.Nikita will almost certainly get a full season. It looks like the consent ads helped Nikita.

  10. Well, looks like Nikita is on it's way to a full season. Doing better than Vampire Diaries is quite an achievement, though I doubt VD has anything to worry about.

  11. I agree, and don't think there is any danger of it not getting renewed :)

  12. I wouldn't worry about The Vampire Diaries too much. If last year was any indication, their audience will find them again eventually. The show had a few mild ratings slumps at various points last season but always bounced back.

  13. Yep, I think you're spot on.

In a week or so I'll be re-doing my SpoilerTV Cancellation Prediction Chart.

  14. Vampire Diaries did better than Nikita with younger viewers and much better in Women 18-34 it's still the #1 CW show

  15. Yep, the other thing to consider is that we need to look at the +7
numbers as more and more people are recording shows these days. I'll
try to get the +7 numbers posted each week where possible.

  16. Yes, very. Vampire Diaries seems to be struggling a little this year.

  17. Wow, Nikita did really well, even better than The Vampire Diaries? That's impressive for a brand new show.

  18. i think Hellcats and Nikita will both get Full seasons and Life Unexpected will be cancelled midseason (Life has only 13 episodes ordered)
