Oh wow.... CW numbers in general so far are BAD.... Even Vampire Diaries, which I was expecting at least to crack 4 million viewers is also down....And gossip girl's rating is really really bad, I was expecting it to crack the 2.5 million mark at least...

ReplyDeleteHonestly the 90210 premiere was so much better than Gossip Girl. Blair was being her usual whiny bitch of a self (which she wasn't much of last season so I thought it was just a HS thing) and then her reasoning was that she didn't want to destroy their friendship seriously? Them going to Columbia together is going to be like HS. Did Chuck think they was dying so he relived his life and is now trying to be a better person? let's see that work out....
Well, that is just embarrassing even for the CW. Weren't these shows over 3 million last year? Couldn't have happened to a better network! Maybe now they will start promoting Supernatural instead of shlepping it off like the black sheep of the family. I have yet to see a SPN promotion on the network. Of course, when they pulled SPN to show reruns of the new shows, I was watching my SPN DVD's so maybe they showed them then. Great job CW!

ReplyDeleteWhile I was hearing Teenage Dream, i was like, "no way, this song is for 90210", becuase i think it has some kindda summer elements which suits for 90210 perfectly. I'd rather hear this song on 90210
GG was just bad, i used to watch this show, and well, still not changed my mind, i only watch first episode of season 4 because of Katie Cassidy. I prefer to see her on Melrose Place, btw i am still not believing that the CW CANCELED Melrose Place !!
The odd thing is that they have been promoting GG and 90210 a lot more

Was the third season really that bad? I haven't watched it as yet, but I'm thinking I might as well skip it altogether. Season 1 and 2 were lots of fun :)

Yep just, about 80,000 in the first 30 mins and about 100,000 in the 2nd.

There are pretty low figures for both.

ReplyDeleteGossip GIrl sucked in my opinion. Katie Cassidy is the only good thing they've got going for them - and they even made her kind of boring. 90210 wasn't amazing - but it built up for an interesting season I think.

ReplyDeleteActually I think they were around 2.3 million and 2.1 million last year. I don't believe they've ever really had much higher ratings since the first seasons...but this is only from casual observation--I could be wrong.

Im not surprised GG's numbers are down. The season 3 finale...well I have no idea who would want to tune in after that. Finale's are supposed to make you anxious for the next season and Josh and crew failed spectacularly. Gossip Girl casual viewers went bye bye. And 90210's the lead in, what bozo thought of that idea lol.
