LOL yep, me too.
ReplyDeleteHumans from another planet.
ReplyDeleteHey Campetin! Glad to see you here.
ReplyDeleteWhat are your plans post-lost? Are you following any other shows?
humans from the future....
ReplyDeletehope this series doesn't fall into the aliens category or i'll be loosing a watching partner.. ;D
I would be disappointed with aliens - I'm hoping humans from a different time (past or present) etc. I think it makes it a more interesting story than aliens. JMO
ReplyDeleteI hope it is not aliens, otherwise my wife will quit watching with me...
ReplyDeleteHere's why I vote none of those:
ReplyDeleteAliens: Competes with V, stargate, and about 500 other shows.
Humans from the future: Borrows too much from FlashForward in the sense where the main plot point would be can civilization change it's future.
Humans from a parallel universe: Competes with Fringe.
Mutants: Competes with the premise from Heroes, and we see how that turned out (I'm looking at you, No Ordinary Family).
Another unlikely possibility, Machines: Didn't work out for Terminator SCC.
Now, if I'm not mistaken, a backwards E (used in the logo) means 'there exists' in math speak. I'd like to hear some ideas on what that means to you.
I watch way too many shows: Fringe, Dexter, Modern Family, House, Parenthood, The Office and many others.
ReplyDeleteSL-LOST is still quite active so I won't be closing it anytime soon, and I'm planning on lauching a new website about the new Abrams/Emerson/OQuinn show.
Ah, that's great. Yep, DarkUFO is still going as well :)
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing your new site. Give us a shout when it's up :)
How about aliens from another time? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm avoiding spoilers, so I don't wanna know if I am right or wrong.
ReplyDeleteBut I think the prisoners are the 97 airplane passengers - they went back in time when the plane disappeared. they have to be held to prevent a paradox or something much less complicated like the fear of them revealing the technology.
I'm betting on humans with an alien connection. Former alien abductees perhaps. Sophia's quote at the end "THEY saved us" is what makes me think that the prisoners are simply aware of what is going on.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I don't think they're aliens just a hunch. Why would there be such a debate with the President of the United States on releasing Aliens into the country? I would think this would be a no brainer for even the worse President :D I think they're humans but based on the plane disappearing I'm going with an alternate universe.
ReplyDeleteBTW, not sure if anyone has seen the commercial for upcoming episodes: "If 24 & Lost had a baby it would be called....THE EVENT"
Yes keep going I ♥ this site :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's very kind :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going with mutant aliens from a future alternate reality.
ReplyDeleteHa lol
ReplyDeleteHey Andy you might need to create "Dark UFO 2" so us TV theorists can have an "EVENT" community, I see this show being a close second to Lost as far as internet communities go!
ReplyDeleteHa, I don't think I've got it in me mate.... Lost took over my life
ReplyDeletefor 5 years :)
Now that's a great theory! I like that much better than Aliens, which is what I chose, but honestly hope isn't true. Unless of course they tread lightly on the fantasy aspect of Aliens, and go for a more spiritual/metaphysical type alien.
ReplyDeleteAfter rewatching the pilot, I noticed something...
ReplyDeleteBlake says "We sacrifice the rights of the few for the safety of the many all the time." To which Eli says "This is not just about protecting the rights of the few -- this is about protecting HUMAN RIGHTS."
So if I'm inferring correctly, he is saying the detainees ARE humans, and their rights have been violated (abuse, detention). So, maybe they aren't aliens after all? The only problem here is he says they aren't Americans...
I dunno who the detainees are, but I know who made the plane warp--
ReplyDeleteDonnie Darko.
Well hey, why not? And I'm wanting their leader to be a Frank N. Furter type. So then you'd have a transexual Transylvanian too. Bring it all on! (Throw in some Black Lodge vs. White Lodge too--we have to save Agent Cooper!)
ReplyDeleteSo instead of a parallel universe, it's a tangent one. I like!
ReplyDeleteOlá Nuno, tudo bem?
ReplyDeleteConcordo contigo: humans from the future.
I definitely agree that one episode into the season, we've already met a few of the detainees.
ReplyDeleteThis show reaks of Lost, and I'm loving it. Just a lot already pointing toward time-shifting and parallel universes makes me believe that some of the detainees may be main characters, in the future tense. Making sense that they knew the hole in space would be there exactly when the plane was about to crash.
The detainees can't be released because they still exist in the present.
Mutants like X-Men? XD
ReplyDeleteI'm still going with Aliens
Thank You! Finally someone pointed this out. I think they are normal people who experienced "The Event" at some point in the past and that's why they are detained. The "they" referred to by Sophia are not the detainee's. What is 'The Event" and who are "they"? Well guessing what "The Event" is way too hard right now, but for the "they" Im sure its not aliens. Seeing how "they" created a wormhole Im gonna guess people from a parallel universe of the future. The detainees were people exposed to the secret of their existence and as a result have some sort of growing set of powers or some sort.
ReplyDeletei think you might be right there. why wouldn't there be humans elsewhere, right?
