How I Met Your Mother - Season 6 - Casting News - Will Forte Returns

What are you going to do now, MacGruber? How about return to CBS's How I Met Your Mother? In his first move since leaving the cast of Saturday Night Live, Will Forte (aka MacGruber) is reprising his role as HIMYM's Randy in this season's sixth episode. Randy, a low-level Goliath National Bank employee, briefly became Barney's 'Rebound Bro' in Season 3.

"Will Forte was absolutely hilarious, so we've been dying to bring him back for three years," co-creator Craig Thomas tells me. In the episode, titled "The Dark Side," "Marshall will wrestle with whether or not to fire Randy, who is as hopeless as a paralegal as he is with the ladies," previews Thomas. "There is also a shocking twist as it starts to become clear that Robin — in a moment of weakness — may or may not have hooked up with Randy on Halloween night."

What possibly could have possessed Robin to bed Randy? Well, apparently he was dressed as a lobster. And who really can resist such a mouth-watering crustacean?
