And what did it mean for the competition? Well it means that Fox Mulder may just be the favourite for this competition, a staggering amount of votes for 'The X-Files' man, and he makes his way into the quarter finals. And that means that early front runner Dean Winchester has stumbled out of the competition. a very tough run ended by Fox for the Supernatural lead. He deserves a lot of kudos though, and for the competition to lose Supernatural before the final eight is certainly a surprise, the show facing too much opposition to make it a double win for 2010 after taking the Show Competition. I'm sure they will be back fiercer than ever next year. (Btw, got some exciting developments in my mind already for both 2011 competitions)
Today is the first of two all LOST round 3 ties, today seeing what most people would say is the best of the 'Others' as scheming leader Benjamin Linus faces fertility doctor and tragic lover Juliet Burke. Which will join Fox Mulder in a mouth watering Quarter Final. That's what we have to find out. Let the battle commence :)

ReplyDeleteIt's really very tough to choose between 2 of my 3 or 4 favorite characters on my favorite television show. But I just have to go with Ben. He is INCREDIBLE. So many layers, and so manipulative... and he can send chills down your back just by looking at someone a certain way. Case in point: after Sayid tells him he dug up the grave and found Henry Gale's body... just the way Ben's entire physicality changes, and yet it's so subtle. I'm just obsessed with him. Now if he was against Locke... that would be a MUCH tougher choice to make. I actually can't even decide now who I'd pick between the 2.

ReplyDeletePersonnally, I REALLY HATE Ben and I always wondered why people would even think about voting for him. Michael Emerson did a great job, and if it was for acting, he would win. But Juliet's character is by far better.
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to vote for Juliet but I didn't. I voted for Ben. Juliet was fantastic but she was little more than a love interest. Ben was the more fully realized character. That being said, it'll put a big smile on my face if Juliet ends up winning.
ReplyDeleteThis is SO WRONG that I have to choose between Ben and Juliet! I adore them both! Juliet is IMO the best female character in LOST and she built such a beautiful relationship with Sawyer but I finally voted for Ben.
ReplyDeleteHe's probably one of the most interesting, complex and intelligent characters in history of TV, villain that you have to love and also a good guy ;) Michael Emerson brought this character to epicness.

While I did like Juliet, Ben was a GREAT character on LOST. He really was one of the best, not just on that show, but on TV in general. So, my vote had to go to Ben.

ReplyDeleteNathan Fillion had Richard Castle (from Castle) and Malcolm Reynolds (from Firefly). Richard Castle was already eliminated but Malcolm Reynolds is looking like a possible winner at this point.
