I can't wait to Sam and Dean kill vampires again! Vampires do suck and get way too much hype time for some real Sexy Man hunters to show them whose boss!
So many vampires, so little time. Seriously, they need to dig deeper into American folklore and find some better monsters of the week. Retro Season 1 would be great; the vampires and werewolves shtick is getting old so fast.
I think it is a desire for variety more than the fact that it is vampires. I wouldn't want two wendigo or two werewolf stories in the same season either unless they were tied specifically to the mytharc of the season. Two random MotW episodes on the same monster seems like much. We'll just have to see how these play out.
I'm not so psyched about 2 vampire episodes in one season either. Still, I loved Gordon and would have been fine with multiple vampire stories when he was around, so maybe there will be a character that ties these two together too.
If you actually read my comment you would see that there are no exclamation points or capitalized words. I wrote this completely calmly; I was not overreacting and therefore I don't need to "chill." This was simply my observation of the influx and oversaturation of vampires in television shows these days... Supernatural can do better. I was merely stating my desire to see something new and fresh in the plot; falling back on vampires is great, but I'd love to see more originality if possible. Please don't misconstrue my words.
I loved Godric, a shame that the True Blood writers killed him so fast. I don't think they're going into that direction with Richard since they describe him as 'ancient and savage'. Maybe he's more powerful and agressive than the rest of the vampires.
Who knows? If he's ancient he might be tired and do a Godric and 'meet the sun'. Oh wait, Supernatural vamps can go out in daylight! It's been so long since we've had a vampire ep. I'd forgotten about that. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. But I don't WANNA wait any more!!!!
That's not so much a spoiler for those who were at Comic Con. Jensen talked heavily about killing "real" vampires and getting the job done the right way jabbing at Twilight and how ridiculous that "alternate reality" is. Time to kill some REAL vamps the REAL way!!
dude it's just one character who knows what the episode is really about. Chill. We didn't have a vampire episode since season 3, so I don't see how two vampire episodes can be too much.
Thank you. That's exactly what I meant to say! It's not necessarily the vampires, it's the fact that I'd love to see some different stuff as well. I trust Sera Gamble and the writing team for SN, so we'll see how it turns out in the end.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Isn't this also the episode that stars Grandpa? Does that mean he is the ancient vampire?

ReplyDeleteAn ancient vampire named richard? :P
ReplyDeleteAt least it's not Dave (or like Paul the octopus lol)
Please God no! If they want to do a vampire cameo, they should get sb from True Blood.

ReplyDeleteOK, I see your point but if he appears he MUST DIE!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd deny the people a chance to see the Winchesters stake Edward? lol
ReplyDeleteI love the vampire episodes. Super cool
ReplyDeleteVampires? We all know that Dean hates Twilight, what if he gets a cameo in the SPN? hahaha! Just kidding! That will ruin the show!!!
ReplyDeleteso seems like back to back episodes with Vampires in them
ReplyDeleteSounds intriguing...Vampires are all the rage these days after all.
ReplyDeleteAncient vampire?... Interesting, I guess that means we get at least 2 vampires episodes this season. love it! I just hope he's a cool character.
