Covert Affairs - Episode 1.07 - Communication Breakdown - Advance Review

This show is called Covert Affairs. But "Auggie Affairs" or "Covert Auggie" would be a better title for it this time. Everyone's favorite CIA computer specialist gets heavily featured in this episode. I didn't take Latin in high school, but I'm pretty sure "Auggie" is Latin for "Pure Win". Ask an expert, or anybody who watches this episode and they will agree. Chris Gorham is absolutely brilliant, and while his character Auggie is quite the ladies man, hopefully Mr. Gorham will get a new lady in his life this year; a lady named "Emmy".

Auggie gets to do some fieldwork when the CIA suspects his ex-girlfriend of computer hacking. This episode is a fan's delight. Auggie rocks a Nintendo shirt, and makes a Comic-Con reference (maybe the show will make an appearance at the real Comic-Con next year!) There is a ton of character development, and the plot moves along nicely. It features an amazing fight sequence on a train, worthy of a big budget action movie. This episode, already dubbed by fans as "The Auggie Episode" will enthrall and delight people to no end. USA Network made the absolute right choice renewing Covert Affairs for a 2nd season. If there was any doubts, they will go away after seeing this.

A great Auggie quote from this episode is "Epic fail would be a better term." He obviously wasn't talking about this show.

Covert Affairs airs Tuesdays, at 10/9c only on USA Network.
