Vampire Diaries - Casting the role of Carter

Casting is currently underway for the role of Carter, a "handsome and rugged" African-American carnival worker who flirts with Bonnie and picks a fight with Tyler. The role is said to be shooting between July 23 and August 3. This for episode 2 of the second season.

    This possible conflict between Tyler and Carter and Carter's flirt with Bonnie suggest there's a huge chance of Bonnie/Tyler in the future. So don't worry ;)

    The guy's only going to be fighting with Tyler to set up for the Tyler/Bonnie storyline that's inevitably going to happen. :3 Looking forward to it! I wish the wait wasn't so long!!

    I love your theory! Julie mentioned there might be another witch in town and, damn, if it was a guy then no one would expect it (we had Emily, Bree, Grams and Bonnie but no warlocks). He's supposed to be African American, so he fits the general pattern. Besides, this guy might be descended from Emily's brother (what's the point of giving us this information without further use? it's TVD, every hint matters).

    No they aren't (it was hinted more at Bonnie/Damon and Bonnie/Matt in the books), but they haven't exactly been following the books all that much anyway.

    And Bonnie and Tyler have pretty much had no scenes together so far, so it's kind of tough to gauge whether or not they have chemistry yet... I'm willing to give it a chance. Bonnie needs a love interest and someone to confide in about her powers; Tyler's a werewolf and needs someone to help him go through all of that. It could work! *shrug*

    Bonnie seems to have had a sense about the vampires. Why isn't she picking up anything on Tyler? I can't picture Bonnie and Matt at all. I don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing I haven't read the books.

    I've watched every episode but when one has ADD, you tend to get drawn to other things pretty easily... That being said, I don't ever remember seeing or hearing on any episode about Tyler being a werewolf. But I have heard it from other sources, though... Could you or someone please give me a short summary of the part in the episode that we find out that Tyler is a werewolf? Thanks!

    We know that Tyler is a werewolf just because we read the books & interviews with Julie and Kevin ;p It has not been stated in the show (has it?). There was some clues, though. In The Turning Point Tyler punched Jeremy and after a second we saw that the moon was full. Founders' Day gave as this nice shot of Tyler's inhuman eyes. Moreover, he has some serious anger issues that he doesn't understand.

    Maybe this new guy is a werewolf too, that's why he's fighting with Tyler. Will spark some jealousy issues with Damon and Tyler towards Mystic Falls hottest and rockin' resident witch. <3

    For darn sure, Bonnie deserves more screentime!

    Exactly. <3 I'd like to suggest, Josh Holloway as an Alpha Male Werewolf with his mating sights set on our delicous Salem witch, that must be shirtless 90percent of the time. ;)

    Actually, that might go for all the guys on there - come to think of it.
