This just in: Patty Hewes will live to fight another day!

After months of negotiations, DirecTV has reached a deal with Sony Pictures Television to acquire Damages from FX. Under the terms of the pact, DirecTV’s 101 network will air two additional seasons of the drama—each consisting of 10 episodes—beginning in 2011.

  1. I really didn't see this coming, the ratings were so bad that a cancellation was basically obivous. I'm happy though, more Glenn Close is always good.

  2. I KNEW the 5 extra emmy nominations (and FNL getting 4 as well) would be a tremendous nudge for not getting cancelled! And to think, Stv already killed the link to the show!

  5. shocking everyone was saying it was dead with directtv and fx and the actors were moving on... i'm thrilled if its for real tho and 10 episodes a season removed fillers

    Seriously thought this was gone. SO happy it's not. It's rare to find an intelligent show lately, and even though season two faultered a little, season three was back on form.
