THIS JUST IN... TEMPERATURES RISE AS BIEBER FEVER HITS "CSI" -- Multi-Platinum Singing Sensation Justin Bieber to Make His Acting Debut in Season Premiere of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION
LOS ANGELES - July 22, 2010 - In his acting debut, multi-platinum singing sensation Justin Bieber will guest star in the season premiere of the CBS Television Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television series, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, on the CBS Television Network.
Bieber will play Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother-a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs. It is the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season.
"Every 20 years, a phenomenon like Justin Bieber graces our world. We'd like to believe that the phenomenon of CSI has had the same impact on popular culture. The opportunity to bring them together in the premiere is a great treat for our audience and all of its new viewers. This will be true event television," Executive Producers Carol Mendelsohn, Don McGill and Anthony Zuiker said in joint statement. "We're looking forward to Justin's dramatic star turn, not only in the premiere, but in a continuing seasonal arc."
Born in Stratford, Ontario, Justin Bieber is a multi-talented pop/R&B singer, and a self-taught musician on drums, guitar, piano and trumpet.
Bieber's video for "Baby" is currently the most-watched music video on YouTube with more than 250 million views. Bieber is the first solo artist in history to send four songs from a debut album into the Billboard Hot 100's Top 40 prior to the album's release. He is also the youngest male solo artist in the history of the Billboard 200 to chart a #1 album since 13-year-old Little Stevie Wonder in the summer of 1963.
In 2007, manager Scooter Braun brought 13-year old Justin to Atlanta, where he met multi-platinum superstar Usher. Justin signed his first professional deal with RBMG, the joint-venture label formed by Usher and Braun with Antonio ‘L.A.' Reid, Chairman, Island Def Jam Music Group.
Now in its eleventh season, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION is the most-watched television show in the world. CSI is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. The executive producers are Jerry Bruckheimer, Carol Mendelsohn, Ann Donahue, Anthony Zuiker, Don McGill, Jonathan Littman, William Petersen, Cynthia Chvatal and Louis Milito.

I liked it when Taylor Swift was on so I have high hopes Justin will do the same. Sounds like it will be a great episode
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like CSI is doing a ratings stunt. They should've given it to a better show. :P
ReplyDeleteJustin Bieber on CSI? Really?
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the worst stunt casting choice ever!
oh my god... got thing else to say.
ReplyDeleteNone, and I mean none of CSI's "very special guest stars" have delivered because the writers go all fan-gurl over the stars and forget about the regular characters and the stories.
ReplyDeleteThe first crappy appearance was by Faye Dunaway, though I suppose we also had those crummy cameos by Tony Curtis and Frank Gorshin in Grave Danger to blame as the start of all this. And yes, I include Taylor Swift and her posing in the bad stuff.
I said the same thing when they said Paris Hilton was guest starring on Supernatural. Then it ended up pretty funny. Not a great episode but decent. Of course it helped that she got beheaded. Maybe this won't be as bad as you are thinking.
ReplyDeleteABSOLUTELY NOT!
ReplyDeleteTHIS CROSSES THE LINE!
THEY GET RID OF WENDY, THEN BRING IN THIS LITTLE SHIT?!
I'M NOT WATCHING THIS ANYMORE! THIS IS BULLSHIT!
Was it REALLY necessary? Justin Bieber?
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable... =/
I don't think CSI will behead Justin Bieber for my pleasure... LOL
