Our Current Leaders are: Cole "The Winner!" McDonald & Katarzyna "Sissi_17" Rutkowska on 43 points.

Day 17: Hey people. I have returned from Wales on my mini break and it's now time to get on with the 3rd Round of the Competition, where it starts to get serious, as the shows remaining all have shown they have the support of a lot of fans believing the show should be making the final, and even potentially winning. The competition has been so hard to call so far, any of the remaining 16 shows could win the final when we get there within the next two weeks. In the final battles of Round 2, we had Battlestar Galactica and the X-Files leading the sci-fi fans with plenty of options as we enter the final stages :)

Today we have two of the more lighthearted shows kicking off Round 3 as the king of modern comedy in America over the last few years in 'The Office' takes on the juggernaut of the 2009-2010 season, the 19 emmy-nominated and huge in all aspects of entertainment 'Glee.' In the previous Rounds 'Glee' has been huge and really destroyed the shows it has faced with ease, but I expect no such favours from such a popular and relevant show as 'The Office.' As always, Let the Battle Commence!

  1. Enjoy the voting today guys. Also, any fans of The Wire or Fringe want to submit a Youtube Video which is vital to the show and is a sign of its quality, post them here too. Also, reviews are good too of any of our shows.

I voted for The Office. Because I think it's brilliant :)

  3. Gotta represent Scranton well, go Office!

  4. I voted but isn't it kind of silly to vote for shows that are still on the air? Glee is only in its first season. Who knows how well it'll hold up in subsequent seasons?

A fanvid trailer I made to spread the word about Fringe.

The Fringe vs. The Wire pairing is just gutwrenching. The Wire is probably the only show that can call itself "BEST SHOW EVER" in this race for pure strength of everything--but Fringe is a quick-up-and-comer with an amazingly crafted storyline and the best new cast in several years. Plus, it's the most-voted on show so far in the competition... :/ NO FAIR.

  6. It's not necessarily current, considering it only covers Season 1, but the video that was released to promote the DVD release of Fringe, Season 1 provides a great introduction to the show. I think it would be helpful for any new fans or anyone considering watching Fringe as it explains the premise, shows the high quality that is part of the show, and gives a pretty good idea of what you can expect from Fringe.

A scene vital to the show and that shows how kickass The Wire is.

  8. glee? still?

it's got to be one of the most pathetic shows i've ever watched. the one thing that seems good and cool and (very slightly) unique - the singing - is all done by machine! get past the singing and the show is about as deep as 'clarissa explains it all' or 'chucklevision'.

yet it's not really surprising that the younger gen would vote for a show that doesn't have a single natural singing voice (not one) anywhere in it's content, when the whole pop music industry is riddled with machines that have been used like that for years.... they probably haven't heard a professional sing with a natural voice in their life!

want to know what was good about sister act? real talent!

this entire poll is proof that people (at least the ones voting on here) are (largely) indoctrinated idiots.

  13. Seriously why all the angst? surely its up to people what type of show they watch, Glee is funny and fresh and yes, they used pre prepared music, but some people like that, I could be a snide and say The Office is just a rip off of a much better and way funnier English show but then I would just sound as sad as you mate. So just accept whatever age you are, you are allowed to like a diverse type of programmes. Personally I love anything scifi but am willing to diversify for stuff that makes me smile, thats what entertainments all about. Id love to cancel every reality show on tv but alas thats not my call, and I have to accept that lots of people actually enjoy them, it doesnt make them less intelligent than me, it just means they are easier pleased! Theres plenty of channels and plenty of programming for all of us to cohabit without being mean to each other dont you think?

Thank you for putting it so well. Also, pay no attention to Aedum_79. He/she has been insulting ths little competition since the begining yet keeps coming back everyday to insult it. Its actually quite pathetic.
