Best Show Ever Quarter Final 2 - Smallville vs. The Vampire Diaries

First off, I'm expressing apologies to fans of both shows.

I understand I can't please everyone here. I have been travelling back from Belgium today, and have been in and out of the London Subway System and unfortunately I could not check the precisely on the hour mark. Just before when I had checked, Smallville was ahead, however, once I reached my hotel 20 minutes past the hour The Vampire Diaries had snuck ahead.

Therefore, I have been left with no choice but to leave this poll open for a further day and to run the Grey's Anatomy vs. LOST poll alongside.

I can only apologise for the mistake, has I known I would have set a closing timer for the poll today, but as a result, and to make it as fair as I can given the circumstances, I will close Quarter Final 2 and 3 at the same time.

Day 26: A very quiet day in the polls today, what has been a common theme for Sunday polls, but I largely expect there to be more of a turnout in the 3 other Quarter Finals we have, in what it the Final Week of the Competition. Having spoke to Dark however, I hope to have a different competition before the seasons begin starting about a month from now, details of which I will announce at the end of this one. As I normally type this blurb about an hour or two before I normally end the polls, making an educated guess which way the tie is going, it's a bit hard for me to call, as before dinner The Office was ahead, and now The Wire has crawled ahead by 10 votes. So at this stage I can't say who is going to win, but with less than 400 votes, a potential sudden flux of people returning from weekends away could change the tie. (Reporting back with 7 minutes to go, it appears that The Wire is today's winner, as the overall amount of votes pushed over 400, The Wire holds around a 25 vote lead. Congratulations to the Wire, and commiserations to The Office, which was our best performing comedy, and came so close, but has fallen on a quiet day for both shows. Today however we have two of the surprises for me that have reached the Quarter Finals. The Vampire Diaries has received a lot of praise from fans, and perhaps with a tougher few matches would be out already, but it is here, and in with a great chance of stealing a semi place from 10 season + Smallville. I don't want to call this bracket, as I'm sure I would be wrong. All that's left to do is of course, Let the Battle Commence....
