Would you like to see them bring back Gabriel?

ReplyDelete#supernatural It would be actually pretty easy to bring him back - he was the only angel besides Castiel who stood up for humanity. God revived Castiel - he could've revived Gabriel too. I think it's more about how to fit him in the storyline.
ReplyDeleteI loved Gabriel. I think he was one of the most funny characters on the show, but it would be too weird if he came back, I'm afraid. If a human dies, sure, because that person has a soul which will go either to heaven, hell or someplace else (?). If angels, demons, vampires or anything else supernatural dies - they just disappear. I'm pretty sure they don't have a soul, so when they die their final death, gone.
ReplyDeleteThe Trickster/Gabriel was one of my favorites on Supernatural. But this just shows that TV shows and movies cannot or will not kill off someone (even a main character) permanently because they can't come up with anything original....
ReplyDeleteit is getting a bit ridiculous now. Theres been some speculation (Kripke induced) that Ellen may be coming back too. One has to wonder why they kill characters on the show if they're only going to bring them back, its boring, pointless and unorigonal. Maybe they have run out of ideas and season 6 will just be 'more of the same'? They spent 5 seasons killing all the Winchesters family, friends and allies and now they're building them back up again except instead of taking the oppertunity to take the show in a new direction (as promised) and introducing new characters they've decidied to just bring back a load of dead fan faves. I would say I'm disspointed and already loosing interst in season 6 but I really want to see where the writers are going with this and I really want to see where they take the Winchester boys next, particulary Sam. They left the door open for so many possibilities with him, I just hope its not a is he good/is he bad/is he even Sam storyline dragged out for the season. Jared hinted that the fans wouldnt know the deal with Sam untill mid season? (convention in Spain) I'm holding out hope because I love this show, just hope the writers dont let the fans down.
ReplyDeleteAt the least the Trickster can easilt be brought back, I suspect KitKat might be right and God does have a hand in it. I guess they could use that line for any other returning characters too.
God revived Castiel. Twice now. Why not Gabriel?

ReplyDeleteI agree I would love to see how the two brothers are gonna be after this debacle!! But I love the trickster and I would love to see him back!!!! No matter what episode He is in it's always bittersweet and funny!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope so. I loved the Trickster, although if Gabriel was still dead that would be interesting. I mean Lucifer may have killed Gabriel, but if Loki, a god, was being his vessel HE could have survived. Which would mean no magic resurrection. OTOH, Gabriel's whole character was built on playing tricks and had faked his death before. He may have given stopping Lucifer a whirl, realized he couldn't do it and then did the fake death scene. In any case having him come back would be great.

Yes he was funny, cute, and an amazing actor. But you have to think about the logic. The ending storyline.
Because if you bring Gab. back, the apocalyptic plot will still have meaning and that plot story ended with season five.

And God bring Cass back cause Cass was the only angel who really loved and helped the humans...who are his favorites...

What did he say exactly?
I don't get what you're saying... "apocalyptic plot will still have meaning"... how will it not have meaning? It's part of the story, the boys now have to clean up the mess. The angels don't disappear just because Lucifer is back in hell. Demons and angels are still skirmishing all over the globe supposedly (I think Cas mentioned it near the end of the season), so the boys still have a lot of work cut out for them. And Gabriel was one of only a tiny handful of angels that supported humanity (others being Cas and maybe even Joshua, to an extent) and could really help them out.
ReplyDeleteI only liked Meg when Nikki Aycox (sp?) played her. The new chick was phony and annoying and the character is getting a little old anyway.

ReplyDeleteEspecially considering the lame way he died. Trying to sneak up on Lucifer? Nah, Gabriel's smarter than that!
Who's to say Gabriel died in the first place? He is a Trickster after all, angel or not. He's good at tricking people.
ReplyDeleteAnd heck, Gabriel's death was kinda crappy anyway. It was obvious such a lousy trick wouldn't work on Lucifer. Sneaking up behind him and stabbing him in the back? ...of course it was never going to work!
I like to think Gabriel knew he couldn't beat his brother and simply created two convincing illusions in order to buy some time for the Winchesters and Kali to escape. That way, the Winchesters and Kali were safe, and Gabriel could go back into his "witness protection" because everyone thought he was dead.
Just a theory, but I hate the idea of Gabriel dying in such a crappy way.
I would LOVE that!! Richard is great and the episodes with the trickster/Gabriel have been the most fun.

ReplyDeleteI really hope they do find a way to bring Gabriel back. He was such an amazing character. My favorite "villian" as he wasn't really evil. He was hilarious and Richard did such a great job in the part. Plus, I think they killed him horribly. It was like they couldn't figure out a cool/fitting way to do it, so they just made it disappointing... So I hope they get him to come back.

I'd love it if they brought him back- Gabriel is one of their best sources for comic relief. And ya, God brought Cas back, so it should be possible. Lets hope so.

ReplyDeletebut that wouldn't make any sense... I mean, it's not like only the vessel dies, the point is to really kill the actual spirit, just like they kill demons with Ruby's knife and the Colt. Demons go back to hell when they exorcise them, but once they shot them with the Colt, they're dead. I mean, I've actually been thinking about how it is possible to kill a spirit, but they've been doing it on SPN all along, so we should probably just get used to it... I mean, I love that they brought Cas back, but you cannot bring too many people from dead, otherwise death doesn't mean anything on the show anymore. And btw, aren't they already bringing the grandpa back? I mean, seriously, how many characters can rise from dead until it starts to look riddiculous? so, as cool as he was, I'd rather Gabriel stayed dead, which apparently he won't anyway...

I would LOVE to see Gabriel come back somehow, whatever the means, in season 6 and maybe see him more than once or twice a season!! If the writers of Supernatural are talking about how to bring Gabriel back then I fully support the idea! Gabriel is my second fav angel on the show, first being Castiel!
