Psych - Freddie Prinze Jr. To Guest Star

Jun 7, 2010

With Mary Lynn Rajskub on Royal Pains and Gregory Itzin on Covert Affairs, USA Network is really using the 24 actors.

Too bad Kiefer Sutherland isn't on Burn Notice ;)

After playing Cole Ortiz on FOX's 24, Freddie Prinze Jr. heads to cable this summer to take on a lighter, and hopefully funnier role. According to Fancast, the 34-year-old actor will be joining the cast of Psych for its fifth season, which kicks off on Wednesday, July 14.

Freddie Prinze Jr., who is expected to grace USA Network's police procedural comedy for at least one episode, will be appearing as Dennis, Shawn and Gus' old pal who was once a nerd. And though Dennis is still pretty much a geek, he turns out to be "a mega wealthy one." Interestingly, he also shares Shawn and Gus' interest in extraterrestrial beings.

Aside from 24, Freddie Prinze Jr. is credited for his roles on Boston Legal, Freddie, and the I Know What You Did Last Summer film franchise.

  1. Yeah, a dream would come true if Kiefer would join Burn Notice. Michael vs. Jack or perhaps they even work together ;-)
I will tune in "Covert Affairs" only because Itzin will be in it. That should be interessting as well.

  2. Wow, everyone from She's All That is going to end up on Psych at this rate. But I'm still excited. I love Freddie Prinze, Jr.
