Best Show Ever Round 1.3b - Scrubs vs. Prison Break & Desperate Housewives vs. Band of Brothers

Day 5: Howdy all once again. So we are halfway through Round 1 and once again yesterday we had some major shocks. Let's say my predictions aren't looking too good at this point. I had 'Friends' in the final. Shows what I know. Flashforward smashed it! Also biting the dust at the first time of asking are 'True Blood' (Another shocker, I thought this was huge here), 'The Simpsons' (so big in modern culture yet getting no love here against 'The Vampire Diaries') and 'Babylon 5'. I am very surprised that Studio 60 had such a foothold of fans. Maybe 'The West Wing' can pull the ultimate shock in the coming days! The other sneaking through was 'The Twilight Zone.'

And here in this post today we have the 'When its good, its genius comedy' Scrubs taking on the 'When it was good, it was genius drama' Prison Break. Both had seasons worthy of challenging for the title, but both are likely to be hampered by shakier times. Also, we have the very popular Desperate Housewives, taking on the epic war-art that is Band of Brother. Total Quality if ever there was. Synopsis: The setting of the show is the street of Wisteria Lane in the fictional American town of Fairview in the Eagle State. It follows the lives of a group of women, seen through the eyes of their dead neighbor. They work through domestic struggles and family life, while facing the secrets, crimes and mysteries hidden behind the doors of their—at the surface—beautiful and seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood.

I think that Desperate Housewives should win because it has that perfect mix of drama and comedy. You also have some mystery and a little bit of action. It will make you cry and laugh. It is also in the suburb with all of this odd stuff happening. It is still going strong with 7 seasons so far. That is why Desperate Housewives should win!

Format: War Miniseries

Synopsis: The narrative centers on the experiences of E Company ("Easy Company") of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment assigned to the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army. The series covers Easy's basic training at Toccoa, Georgia, the American airborne landings in Normandy, Operation Market Garden, the Battle of Bastogne and on to the end of the war, including the taking of the Kehlsteinhaus (Hitler's Eagle's Nest).
