Day 4: Hey again folks. A major shock today folks, Critically acclaimed 'The Sopranos' is out, Critically acclaimed 'Breaking Bad' is out and Critically acclaimed 'Dexter has just snook through. What a day it was. At one point 'The Sopranos' was down and out, then around halfway it fought back then tailed off to a bit of a smashing come the final results. We welcome therefore, Smallville, Stargate SG1, Gilmore Girls & Dexter to Round two. Just shows how many great shows there are that people love. I'm learning some new ones that I may have to check out!

Onto today's battles in this post, which see some very intruiging ones indeed. I am a huge Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip fan, and was saddened it was deleted after one season. I don't think it will beat True Blood, which is so popular here, but you never know. Also we have Flashforward, the surprise additions to the competition taking on Friends. Surely Friends has this one, but Flashforward has some loyal fans. Could this win and really shock the applecart. Also a cheeky fact worth a mention is we have Two Matthew Perry Shows in this post. Could his loyal fanbase rally wins for both? Maybe. Lets find out! ReplyDeletetrue blood and friends. Sure, true blood has not the best writing, gosh it can't be so ridiculous sometimes but I watch it, can't say the same thing for Studio 64. I'm not a Friends fan, sure I've seen a few episodes, but I HATE FLASHFORWARD, I really do.

Hopefully the people voting DO know what Friends is but I don't/didn't hate Flash Forward & would have liked it if ABC didn't cancel it along with how many other shows did they cancel? Not sure what ABC is up to other than going back to the bottom of the major networks again.

Eh, I'd still vote Studio 60 even if it wasn't spectacular. I'd take some occasionally pretentious writing over how melodramatic True Blood is.

Whats studio 60, and why is it leading over the best show that you can watch at the moment?

ReplyDeleteStudio 60 was created by Aaron Sorkin (same guy who created Sports Night and The West Wing), and in my opinion, S60 wasnt given a chance to succeed. Before the first season was even half over, the guys over at NBC cancelled it. I personally thought Studio 60 was a pretty fun show, and in many ways shared a similar style to West Wing (one of the greatest political dramas of all time).

ReplyDeleteHow on earth can flashforword beat friends? dont get me wrong here i love the show but friends is epic! I was in tears when it ended and i still hope for an episode reunion. Flashforward has been cancel after 10 episodes and i was sad to not see an other season of this good new show but thats it, my day wasn,t rune. And now im confuse, why was flashforward canceled if so many poeple loves it ... any way i am shocked

ReplyDeleteWell you shouldn't expect more from the masses who use this site, as evidently they have a seemingly contemporary and restricted taste in television. After all, this is a modern site, so shows like Friends and other classics won't always be favoured by the vast spectrum of visitors.
ReplyDeleteI think sci-fi and mystery show has a bigger chances to win here. Most likely because they make the fans confuse enough to go to the web and discuss about it. So the majority who vote loves sci-fi.
ReplyDeleteI just checked my bracket & realized that Friends lost to Flash Forward, you should see all the red strikes on my bracket it's actually pretty funny at this point. Oh & House lost to, amazing! We're not even done with round 1 lol Hopefully I'll do better with the Lost Episode Cup.
