    What an amazing way to end the season!!! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time... I haven't gotten that way about an episode sense last year's finale! I agree best episodes next to the "It's the End of the World..." and "As we know it"! Loved every moment of it tonight!

    the episode was literally insane and I loved it. It's the best grey's season finale ever. But I wonder and hope that Lexie and Mark get back together next season and Merideth ends up getting pregnant again.

    Unbelievable episode! Was in shock from the beginning when the first Dr. was shot. Glad we were not left hanging for the next season. Way to go and welcome back CHIEF WEBER!!!!

    Just to pick on it a litttle :p How obvious was the scene where Merdith thought McDreamy was dead? Come on! lol... Also the Chief saving the day/I'm sure getting his job back was predictable...

    It was perfect!! I mean, that killed a caracter i didn't care about but they made me cry so much about it, i love percy now (im not sure its his name but i love him, i didnt want him to die at the end)
    And wow the actors, great job. the only let down was lexie and alex, im an lexie and mcsteamy fan :)
    And wow geez i thought Owen died and i was screaming omg but no! he is so hot okay sorry that was amazing

    Totally rubbish and pointless unrealistic drama. Come on! The Swat guy who shot the gunmen didn't even check the guy, he just let him leave like that! And don't get me started on how unprofessional the police officer is "securing the zone", Leaving the poor doctor to fend for themselves. I had wonder why I never really watch this show, I know why now, Pointless unrealistic episode. Ok I get it the guy lost his wife and go on a rampage, but how come This one guy, who clearly isn't sane, can do so much damage and shoot with so much precision without a proper training? And how come no one heard the two shot who started it? Pointless drama effect

    Totally knew that Meredith was going to miscarry. Doesn't mean I'm not pissed off as to why Shonda even put it in there after all of the shit she's put Mer/Der fans through. This is just another addition to the pile. They're the only reason I'm still watching this show and now I'm not so sure I want to anymore after this. I'm fully expecting Mer/Der to try again only to have fertility problems.

    It's really a shame too, considering I thought this was the best episode in a long time until she did that.

    I'm not the biggest Grey's fan, mainly watch it because my girlfriend loves it, but this episode was amazing. That were 2 hours of awesome TV!

    I loved it. I'm pissed that Mer lost the baby. SOOOOO Unnescessary!!!! She was so happy and it would have been perfect next year. Derek on the mend, Meredith pregnant, building the house. You know the things we have been waiting for, for like 6 years!!!! Apart from the crappy and unnescessary miscarriage which is going to so cause drama next year it was an amazing episode. Just sorry that April didn't die. I HATE HER!!!!

    well totally unrealistic, i actually thought it was boring at one point (i knew bailey's friend there was going to die - so obvious) also really similar to that episode on house where that guy takes house as a hostage
    and that police guy shaking weber's hand at the end - hello??
    he wasn't even allowed in the hospital, he had (as just an employee of the hospital) NO authority, it didn't even help anybody, that he went inside!
    best thing about the episode: no cliffhanger (that's a first right?)

    Amazing epi up until the point where Lexi got away from the gunman i mean the swat guy took the shot and had worse aim then the gunman who never had training. Also the swat guy not securing the injured gunman or even reporting his location seems like a plot device so they could save Lexi and gunman could continue his rampage.
    Mer loosing the baby also seems forced i mean with all the hell they been through for 6 years they deserve some happiness, totally unesseccary. The stuff at the end with Lexi and Alex was very sweet. Glad Owen chose to go back in for Cristina. Wonder how this will effect Owen's recovery well SG will never be the same again. Shame the gunman didn't kill April.

    Completely Agree on the House finale sucking. And this being one of the best episodes of GA ever made! If this episode doesn't win an Emmy in some way shape or form, I will not be impressed.

    I'm not too sure how I feel about the miscarriage, yes it was annoying to be told she was pregnant and lost the baby in one episode, but I think it will take till September to judge, because it could set up a new character arch for Mer.

    I think the viewing numbers for this episode say it all (But I do hope Lost beats them on Sunday lol)

    Okay, you gotta' admit that Shonda Rhimes knows how to end a season. Everything was awesome and as many have said, I was literaly on the edge of my seat the whole time.
    Having said that, there were 2 flaws in the finale. As many have pointed out that SWAT guys aim just sucked. Shot him in the shoulder?! I mean c'mon, a few inches lower and the terorizing would have ended.
    The secong was the scene where Callie put the gauze in the shooters hand. He wasn't holding the gun, she could have knocked the thing out of his hands easily. Granted, she probably didn't want to risk anything but still....

    All in all a great episode, if not the greatest.

    In the Callie situation, how was she supposed to know that the guy didn't have more than one gun? God forbid something happens when she troed to grab the gun and it goes off with children in the room? She made the right choice by just giving him what he wanted and not trying to be a hero and possibly hurting the other people in the room.

    Can't make an excuse for the SWOT officer though, lol, his bad aim was a little ridiculous.

    With Lexie being between the shooter and the SWAT member a shoulder shot may have been his only viable option. It isn't realistic to think he could necessarily get a kill shot in when there is a person and other obsticles between him and the shooter. However, I don't see how the SWAT team didn't close in on him faster after shooting him. Yes, Lexie was still in the way, but they could have moved a little more quickly!

    Also, I don't think her loosing the baby was forced at all. Extreme emotional stress/trauma can cause a woman to miscarry, not to mention that 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. Plus I think it opened the door for her to realize just how much she wants a family and therefore she and Derek can try again.
