Question: OMG. Grey's finale. George or Izzie? What's the deal? --Olive

Ausiello: My guess? One will live, another will die. Although I have to say I'm intrigued by this theory from an Aushole named Keven: "T.R. Knight is leaving the show, but George is staying. What with being grossly disfigured in the finale, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to let George live and then, a few weeks later, Mark Sloan works his plastic surgery magic and, voila, a new George!"

They are only doing that kind of stuff on soaps!

What I'm always wondering about that kind of storylines: what about the voice??? george might look different, but why would his voice sound different? I don't think that'll fit to grey's!

George is TR Knight; while it has definitely been done and I can see where this idea might be raised? DO NOT WANT. So much of the reason that I love the character is because of what the actor has brought to the role that has made him so unique. On paper, George is the lovable guy who you just kind of count on to be there, but TR is responsible for making him truly come off the page and be that guy that so many of us can't (and don't want to) have to do without!

Without TR Knight, George won't exist even if they tried to say he was on site; don't do it, Grey's! It only works on the soaps because we've learned not to expect more from them, for the most part. ;)

PS: Live Izzie! Live George! I don't know how to survive fictionally losing either one of you! The thought of losing both, or being forced to watch one get off on the afterlife floor and leave the other 'behind' is heartbreaking! I'm hoping that neither takes that elevator to the heavenly floor. ;)

I tweeted with Shonda Rhimes again this morning about TR being replaced a la plastic surgery. She said, and I quote "that is a hilarious ridiculous rumor".

If TR goes, so does George. I find this comforting, in a way.

I don't want George to be replaced with another actor. That would really ruin the character. No one can play George but T.R. Knight, and that goes the same with everyone.
