  1. Yes! Tony Goldwyn directing Scandal Fall finale! Tony is so talented. He should be in talks for an Emmy nomination! Hope his episode is well written.

  2. Resurrection sounds amazing. Sad that people won't watch.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Surprised at how early they are cutting off TGIT. I thought we had a good 7 episodes of GA left before the hiatus. At least this means that it will be returning earlier than last year and then 17 uninterrupted episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Fall finale for HTGAWM sounds awesome but it will be terrible to not have this show on the air for a while. Anyone knows how long the hiatus is?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Shorter than last year, I guess. I think they might be back by January/Feb.

    ReplyDelete
  6. So they're still keeping SHIELD a secret and I am so excited and scared but definitely need the week-long hiatus to recover from last night's episode.

  7. Didn't Scandal & Grey's get to do two batches of 11 and 12 episodes, respectively?
The fall finale is already on 11x08 and 4x09?

Cannot wait for OUAT and Especially revenge. Next week will be insane and the two hour OUAT special and then revenge after.. that will be one hell of an evening. I did not read anything from this post only the dates. I hate to read spoilers actually

  10. I wonder if this means they are back on January 29th (The First night of February sweeps) and then run all the way through to May.

  12. I know, I wasn't expecting that at all. Is anyone sure there'll be a mid-season split with GA and Scandal?

  14. I wanted to say how disappointed I am that Grey's has decided to completely ignore a couple for almost one whole season now, not having given Alex and Jo a proper storyline as a couple since 10x17. We only got to see Alex go to the private practice only to get fired later, and him being given shares and a board seat by Cristina only for the seat to be taken away from him again. I wanted to see Jo kick some ass in Ortho, but they aren't letting her work with Callie now either. The "storyline" about her feeling left out in her own relationship because of Meredith has been dropped completely too. I can understand that the focus was on Maggie and MerDer now, but I have been waiting pretty much since the beginning of 10B for the writers to give Jo and Alex a proper storyline and I am annoyed that they are being completely ignored.

  16. MY THEORY
TGIT will return on Feb 5th (to help block TBL momentum)
Greys will run for 16 weeks straight and will conclude with a 2-hr finale on May 14th
Scandal will have a 2 week break during the spring and will most likely end the week before Grey on May 7th
HTGAWM- will run for 6 weeks and end on March 12th with Secrets and Lies taking over the week after

I like it,not a lot of repeats in the spring!!

I feel like we are watching different shows.

I am ok with Jo being left out of the picture. Alex for so long was, and now it's his time to shine.

After reading these PR's I feel like sooo many shows are in jeopardy on this channel. It kinda sucks considering how I have invested in them. My hypothesis - Selfie, Cristela, Revenge and Resurrection are all in jeopardy of cancellation.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I believe that is the plan. It's all about eliminating or at least minimizing repeats for ABC's serialized dramas which by nature don't return very strong ratings for repeats

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow, so many great things happening this sweeps.

  24. There's nothing Grey's, Scandal, and HTGAWM could do right now to keep me from watching but Once Upon a Time, I see nothing about Regina in these episode synops and without her, I'm not watching that show anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  25. me too! i think without without the competition it should rise

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ya for Haley and Andy in sweeps week in MF although im wary of the direction they are going with its not a normal will they won't they type of relationship for sure.
Agents of shield still keeping "the things we bury" synopsis a secret is somehow scaring me nothing should happen to my beloved fitzsimmons ,mack and the rest of the team.

  27. I don't mind couple or character/couple focused episodes, but almost all episodes so far this season have been like this - a bit annoying really

    ReplyDelete
  28. An actor directing an episode usually indicates their character won't have much acreentime in said episode.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Calling it - April's baby on Grey's will have a disability.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Whatever the hiatus is, with only 15 episodes this season, it will be shorter than the hiatus between the end of this season and the beginning of the next one.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm sure Regina will be involved in these episodes. Also, there's an entire episode to which a press release is not available yet.

    ReplyDelete
  32. So OUAT is not airing at 7pm after all for the double episode! I always thought that was a very bizarre idea and not justified at all especially when the 9pm show is struggling.

Elsewhere, ABC is killing it with schedule this year. The TGIF scheduling is quite genius I think. They are avoiding Thanksgiving, Peter Pan and Christmas altogether, they are still giving them the split season treatment and they will face NBC's new Thursday lineup heads-on. Excellent job ABC.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I love their scheduling, excellent job ABC!!

But I think Murder will only run for 5 weeks and have a double finale (following GA and preempting Scandal that week, which would also even out the orders of GA and Scandal since GA is preempted this week). Secrets and Lies premieres the next week (12/03) which would allow them to air all 10 episodes of it during the regular season, with it finishing out of a two hour GA finale (with Scandal ending the week before) Quite neat!

    ReplyDelete
  34. My guess is that it will go like this:
By the end of the fall: GA: 8 episodes, Scandal: 9 episodes, Murder: 9 episodes. GA would have had a break (this week) and Scandal and Murder would have run straight through. So first part of split season is concluded.
By February 5th (aka the same night NBC's new lineup premieres), all three shows come back. From then onwards, it would be like this:
    - 05/02: GA x9, Scandal x10, Murder x10
    - 12/02: GA x10, Scandal x11, Murder x11
    - 19/02: GA x11, Scandal x12, Murder x12
    - 26/02: GA x12, Scandal x13, Murder x13
    - 05/03: GA x13, Murder x14, Murder x15 (two hour Murder finale)
    - 12/03: GA x14, Scandal x14, Secrets and Lies x01
    - 19/03: GA x15, Scandal x15, Secrets and Lies x02
    - 26/03: GA x16, Scandal x16, Secrets and Lies x03
    - 02/04: GA x17, Scandal x17, Secrets and Lies x04
    - 09/04: GA x18, Scandal x18, Secrets and Lies x05
    - 16/04: GA x19, Scandal x19, Secrets and Lies x06
    - 23/04: GA x20, Scandal x20, Secrets and Lies x07
    - 30/04: GA x21, Scandal x21, Secrets and Lies x08
    - 07/05: GA x22, Scandal x22, Secrets and Lies x09
    - 15/05: GA x23, GAx24, Secrets and Lies x10

    So basically:
    - GA has one break in the first half of its split season and runs straight through the second half
    - Scandal runs straight through the first half of its split season and has one break in the second half
    - Murder runs straight through both in the first half and the second half of its split season
    - Secrets and Lies runs straight through

    ReplyDelete
  35. This confirms the midseason split basically. The Taste will be airing in December and most likely January (which is the midseason break).

  39. Well, fall finale is not a mid-season finale...so there still needs to be a break after first 3-4 episodes after the New Year, when it comes to GA and Scandal. Though I'm no expert...and as much as its exciting to have ca. 15 episodes in the spring I always feel a little bit overwhelmed with all the storylines up to the finale compared to the lightness of the fall batch :3

  43. It's a great one
    Ratings will increase IMO

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hmm. They said GA also got an extra episode so I just assumed it was 25, since it has been doping 24 for years.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think you misunderstood it somehow, I really think it's just 24. Deadline has reported it as such and they usually got those type of things right.

    ReplyDelete
  46. well that was certainly prempted when jackson got snarky about hypothetical baby and they argued about him being a spoiled rich kid with privledges. I'll think it would be a good storyline if Japril baby was deaf.

  47. If these listed bands/artists are going to be the major hits of the 2014 AMA's, it looks like there is yet again nothing on offer to OneRepublic, even after their excellent 2013 album 'Native' and hit song 'Counting Stars'. Seriously what must Ryan Tedder (lead singer/lyrist on OneRepublic) do to get some major recognition from AMA's? Write songs for Adele, Beyonce, Maroon 5, etc...already done!

  48. Henry's first wife, Nora? Can't wait for that flashback!

    ReplyDelete
  49. He isn't shining though, or do you feel like he is??? He isn't given any success on the show, he got fired from private practice, he didn't get the board seat, he's doing all work for Arizona now but isn't Head of Peds, he doesn't even get any cases of his own anymore, he's just lurking somewhere in the background and only gets screentime so he can jump when Mer needs him and be there for her. He's still being left out just as much as he used to! And Jo does need more screentime because she's his girlfriend and her character needs to be developed. We still dont know nearly enough about her and it's her 3rd season already. Also, we've seen Alex be there for others and be a good friend for nearly 10 seasons now, he needs focus on his relationship for once because that's something we havent seen so far: how Alex Karev is like when he is in a committed relationship that lasts longer than one season.

Alex is doing pretty well...he is now head of Pediatrics...so yeah I think he is doing ok....

You and I probably won't see eye to eye on many of the show's characters...for instance....I think Derek is being selfish and self absorbed....he wanted to go to Washington, and he made it impossible for himself to stay in Seattle...his ideal situation would have been for Meredith to give up everything that she had worked hard for and built, to follow him in his dreams....

I am not a Jo fan...she is petulant and juvenile...frankly i would be ok if we never saw her again....but that of course is just me....
