    I think I'm officially a Liv fan. First, the shade she threw on Dullena, now she's being all sassy at Alaric (I don't rally care about him lmaaooo. Make her a ergular! Plus she's smoking hot.

    I assume this is the most exciting scene of the premiere.
    I'm glad Luke and Liv stick around, they are quite fitting for the VDverse but still have individual personalities and stand up for themself. Especially Liv! I hope JP won't be do any blond witch killing this season.

    Matt Davis was in the TV show Cult last year. So I guess Liv is right and the perfect word for this scene is ironic!
    I'm glad to see Alaric back as a teacher though. :)

    Excited Alaric is back to teaching. Are Tyler & Liv going to be a thing this season? I wonder how much focus will be on school since school was never the focus on the show before?

    I agree. They even have that 'romantic music' going on in the background -same one in the very first episode of the series, where Stefan and Elena were making googly eyes at each other in the classroom.

    I knew I heard from a number of sources that Alaric was going to teach Occult studies. I wonder what Elena is doing behind her folder. Probably sending text messages to Stefan asking him how his alleged search for Damon is going. Liv is clearly into her professor, but it's a shame Tyler still has to mack on the girl. Maybe Tyler's little fight with Luke will be about whether or not Tyler is going to leave Luke's sister alone. That or we're going to find out that Luke and Liv really aren't twin siblings, just a couple of witches who are part of a twisted "family" and always have each others' backs. If this is the case, Tyler would have sniffed it out a long time ago and he could feel the need to mark some territory for some absurd reason. It seemed strange that Luke had to remind Liv when they were alone together that he's her brother and he's gay. There's no way Luke and Liv don't know what Tyler did in New Orleans. I remember thinking this the first time Liv had to ignore Tyler. She looked grossed out by the sight of him, and I doubt it had anything to do with him being a hybrid. She might have been looking at him a certain way in this sneak peek because she's about to use magic to knock him on his rear end for rubbing against her like a pervert.


    I feel sorry for poor Alaric. The people he cares about are terrible students. Liv making that comment about resurrection was just plain mean. She's probably overcompensating, trying too hard to hide the fact that resurrection is possible to an extent. Then again, people at conventions could be giving misleading spoilers. The Delena reunion that's supposed to come up in the second arc might not be what some fans think. It was already said that if Damon and/or Bonnie come back, they won't be the same as they were.

    I couldn't care less what you think of the writing. Resulting to juvenile name-calling is what makes this fandom infamous for being crazy and embarrassing.
    You do realize that Ian has a large fandom outside of TVD, right? And that all of his previous girlfriends have had the same kind of harassment from fans? This isn't about shipping. Give me a break.

    That was unexpectedly amusing. More little scenes like this one could liven up the Whitmore aspect of the show, which was a gaping weak spot last season.

    Really?Tyler and Liv?This is one of the most stupid couples I've seen. Because of Liv Damon is dead. I know Damon wasn't Tyler's friend but Elena,Stefan who are Tyler's friends are suffering because of Damon's death. And now Tyler wants to date Liv. This is ridiculous.

    Damon is dead because he blew himself up. He chose not to rush back to Bonnie and to chat with Alaric and whatnot instead. Liv couldn't do the spell indefinitely and was about to die so Luke stopped her to save her life.

    Well, again I feel like TVD's definitely going back to its roots and I love it! This little scene pretty much says it all about where the writers decided to go with their characters. Not sure what Elena's doing but she still doesn't care about school lol? Nothing new ;) !
    On another note, I love Liv but her making fun of the fact the Other Side went down was unnecessarily bitchy. Plus I'm not sure doing that in front her classmates ("regular" vamps and former werewolves with anger management issues) and teacher (an Original vamp) is the best move. Don't push it girl is what I'm saying!
    Also, she and Tyler are probably gonna hook up at some point. LOL!! I think it's gonna be fun, because it's so gonna be a love-hate relationship and I'm pretty sure they'll end up "using" each other in some ways.
    Overall I'm glad Alaric's back and that they're finally showing what life at College looks like. Plus, I think Liv and her brother will become antagonists at some point.

    I'm not sure about Liv and Luke not being real siblings but still it's an interesting theory and that would be a good plot-twist I guess ;) ! Personally, I think it's very possible the Wonder Twins' coven might be connected to the NOLA witches, like you said. And that could prove useful later in the season. It's good crossover material after all! Just a thought.
    LOL about Alaric being quite desperate with his students but in fairness he must have gotten used to that by now.
    I agree about this episode's theme which I think can be applied to the whole season ;) !

    No, I wasn't implying that I thought Luke and Liv might be connected to the NOLA witches. I'm pretty sure the NOLA coven came after Luke and Liv's coven, which is 2,000 years old. One item of proof is that when Caroline killed Luke, he went to the Other Side and not to limbo in NOLA. I'm assuming that Luke and Liv know what Tyler did the same way they knew that the Travelers were outside of Mystic Falls. Their coven is very well-informed.

    You care so much about what I think that you're all hot and bothered with my Dullena "name-calling" LOL. Maybe I should write like an academic while discussing a CW show. I would be crazy and embarrassed if I rooted for Elena to be with a psychopath/rapist, but she's gone so low that maybe she deserves that. I'm actually proud to not be okay with it because "it's a vampire show" or because "Damon is hot".

    Of course it's about shipping, some want Ian to dump Nikki because he has to stay with Elena (yes, Elena, not Nina, they are unable to see the difference), or that Nikki is a slut. And I won't even mention the name calling and death threats to Kat Graham when she says something nice about Damon and Bonnie. The couple and the fanbase are so dull that they earned the alias, exactly because of how immature they are, that's the gist of it. Oh, and you make it sound like harassing people is all right. Cool story.

    Ok you're right at that but the gang is not going to have the same opinion. I think writers don't know what to do with Tyler(my idea,kill him!) and this is a way of introducing him in the story. Plus,Liv is very insensitive and I don't like that. But she's an interesting character although I can't stand her brother.Although I think Liv could've kept the spell 10 seconds more.

Alaric teaching, students listening, getting back to their roots, I didn't know what to expect for our first sneak peek, but i am so GLAD we got this. Aww that's refreshing! Alaric you look amazing...And omg can we please kill Liv. I honestly don't think i can take another second of her. Luke can stay though. Haha i like him.

    Well that could literally apply to half of the couples of the show though. I mean Caroline and Klaus and Damon and Elena actually made it as couples albeit short periods of time, even though all did rather horrible things to each other. I mean they still ring up Klaus for favors, even after the killed two of his brothers and tried to kill him. So at this point. Tyler and Liv who had next to none interaction last season being a couple, isn't that far of a stretch especially for tvd.

    Yeah, the EPs seem determined to keep the shows separate in spite of the many similarities in characters and SLs. It would be interesting, but then again it would probably tie the shows together a little too much. When the crossover happens, it'll be for a story that will stay within the boundaries of the show where the crossover takes place. I don't think it'll be a Klaroline reunion since it was already filmed and no one noticed. I'm guessing either the crossover was filmed on TO last May and the announcement wasn't made until JP was sure that the crossover wouldn't get edited out, or only a minor character is crossing over from one show to another. Minor characters can cross over at any time with scheduling being the only real issue.

    Something just crossed my mind. The way Elena is hiding, do you think she might have a stalker? It wouldn't be all that surprising if Julie Plec gives a small tribute to Kevin Williamson's new show. Elena could be avoiding a new character, or even Tyler. The EPs said that Tyler is supposed to have regained some sort of "machismo," making him more attractive or attracted to the ladies. If he tries to be all over Elena like he's all over live in this clip (which wouldn't technically be breaking a bro code because it's been too long since Matt and Elena broke up), I wouldn't blame Elena for hiding behind her folder.

    Elena appears to be hiding from Alaric in the clips. It's probably something to do with either her drugs or she's doing something in class i.e. texting she doesn't want him to see. Besides, Tyler has never been interested in Elena in the show. He's pretty much the only guy who hasn't at one point wanted to sleep with her. Also, Tyler and Elena are supposed to be BFF's now according to Plec, there is no hint that either one of them is sniffing after the other.
