Supernatural: Tribes - Sean Faris to Co-Star

26 Feb 2014

Sean Faris (The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars) is set to co-star opposite fellow TVD alum Nathaniel Buzolic and Lucien Laviscount in Supernatural: Tribes, the planted Supernatural spinoff, which will air as an episode of the veteran sci-fi series on April 29. Written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Robert Singer, the sweeping drama revolves around the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly to humans “run” the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly minted Hunter who’s trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural. Faris, repped by Gersh, Mosaic and Rick Genow, will play Julian Durant, the savagely handsome werewolf son of a wealthy family of lycanthropes who has no love for the shapeshifting Hayden family.

I wouldn't even mind if they just named it Tribes. But as is sounds tacky.

  3. They don't want people to forget that it's a Supernatural spin-off.

  4. source link doesn't work.

  5. Lol, because that's probably the only thing 'Tribes' will be remembered for!

  6. This sounds like Supernatural turned into The Originals.

  7. 'The savagely handsome werewolf son of a wealthy family of lycanthropes' ! I roll my eyes at the unbelievable corniness of this description and of the whole premise of Tribes.

I'm not going to ever put the word Supernatural near this!

  8. It all sounds very Dynasty-esque...

  9. Agreed. They'll maybe have a JR hidden in there too!

  10. I just went to IMDB to see who this was, and "savagely handsome" is not what I would call him and I agree about the title. Different strokes I guess, Jensen is more my vision of handsome.

  11. I doubt there is anyone amongst these newcomers who can compare to Jensen's perfection. Lol!

  12. I liked his tiny role in tvd. i remember thinking he was really hot.
He was the guy stefan and rebekah killed to provide first blood for elena

  13. Well adding Sean Faris is probably the only sensible thing they've done for Supernatural Tribe. Now they simply need to change the ENTIRE premise and they may actually have a spin-off that doesn't totally suck.

  14. Maybe i'm the only one, but i don't like Sean Faris as actor... BTW they still insist in Supernatural: Tribes as a name. For God's sake take off Supernatural out of this title. It's suppose to make people want to watch?? This just create a high expectation and people can be really disappointed watching. CHANGE THE NAME!!! Btw "savagely handsome werewolf son of a wealthy family of lycanthropes who has no love for the shapeshifting Hayden family." Really??? This does not sound good at all. I will say it again, a spin off beased on people we know would be better. Imagine a spin off based on Bobby? Or Ellen and Jo? Even Garth would be more interesting, i guess. We have so many great characters that would give a hell of sping off... I willl give it a shot of course, but i hope The CW is not expecting the same success of Supernatural or The Originals.

  15. Are they going to have anyone in this show besides, what my Mom calls, 'pretty boys'?... I can't believe that they think Supernatural fans will watch a Twilight-like show with werewolves and forbidden love. I'm sure we all love to see Sam and Dean hunting these things

  16. My thoughts exactly. I hope they're good actors too and not just pretty faces. Sean Faris is Jared's age (born in 1982), so I assume he's one of the "older" characters on this show.

  17. My biggest problem with this spinoff is that they make it seem like it's for teen audience. The actors they have chosen so far are 21, 30 and 31 years old. That of course doesn't mean a thing, considering that Kevin Tran (18, 19 maybe?) is played by a 27-year-old, but still. Maybe there's hope for us old people too, and this won't be a Twilight copy from hell. I'm 31 by the way.

  18. So this is basically Twilight with a hint of Gossip Girl and Grease?

  19. I just realized something what is it Supernatural:Tribes (i hate this name) and all this forme The Vampire diaries actors??? I wasn't a huge fan of Nikita, but the show had a few good actors, Better than Sean (my opinion).

  20. Jared was 24 and Jensen 27 at the start of the series.

  21. former guest actors, and most of the Nikita cast has been already cast in other series.

  22. Yes I know, but SPN has never been about romantic relationships. "Forbidden love" etc. usually means that the show is for ages 15-21. People older than that have a different view of the world. They're not looking for a show that focuses on young people's love life, because they can't identify with their problems anymore.
