A recurring character called PI is being introduced. He is an early 20's free spirit who meets Alexis while on Vacation.

ReplyDeleteI figure the premiere will start showing her in DC and Castle in NY. They will make no mention of the proposal until the end of the episode to keep people wondering if she said yes or no.
ReplyDeleteI think for the premiere she will replace Beckett but after Beckett will be back on the precint. This is a good idea for the premiere in my opinion, it would be too easier if she said just "yes" about the proposal and make everyone happy in the world ^^

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry and what do you base that theory on? An actress coming in for a few episodes. It could be for anywhere in the season. Nothing was mentioned about episode 1. She could be for the annual two-parter, maybe it's a longer story this year. Remeber Demming came in for 3 episodes also.

I mean, they wouldn't give us this spoiler about the new female detective who is no-nonsense and intelligent (much like someone we already know! ;) ) if she was really there to replace Beckett. That would be just too predictable, and the writers of our show are anything but predictable!

It'd be nice if the threat of Beckett leaving has brought the opportunity for a new role for her within the NYPD as more of a leader of the others between her and the team and Gates. Which also means that we could get a new female detective to fill the shoes of the role Beckett once previously held.

ReplyDeleteAs this is reliable. It's from the casting audition sheet that is sent by the writers of the show.
So unless you don't trust that then you are very very wrong.
If you can link me to any article that we've posted here before on SpoilerTV that shows that we are "not the most reliable place" I would love to see where we have posted incorrect information in the past.

Could she be Beckett's replacement? I still believe that Beckett will not be with the "team" in the first episode. She will have moved on and yet Rick would have stayed with the guys.

ReplyDeleteI hope is the chick from Heroes and villains or whatever that episode was called with the superhero that turned out to be the female cop in season 4 and returned in season 5 for Beckett to get past so she could get to her mothers murderer. I think that would be so cool.

I also dont think she will like the job in DC. I think Castle will go with her and I think she will say yes to the proposal
ReplyDeleteI don't think Castle will go with her. The show usually doesn't show the precinct without Castle or Beckett there. If neither were at the precinct, I doubt a whole of screen time would be spent there. I think Castle will stay in NY but they will get engaged. But Beckett will get insecure of another woman taking her spot on the team and she will miss home, which will lead her to come back to NY.

ReplyDeleteYeah, but realistically at least one of Castle or Beckett would need to be at the precinct in order to be any lengthy screen time being dedicated to the precinct.Also, if they are introducing a new cop that's supposed to be replacing Beckett, then they will probably spend a significant amount of time at the precinct. Castle in DC can't really do anything. But in NY he can still solve crimes. There isn't really a show if Castle isn't helping around solving crimes. That's why I don't see the show putting him in DC. Beckett I can still see being in DC for three episodes but I doubt that they will introduce a female detective of the same age as Beckett and not have her interact significantly with Castle. Also, it would be really unrealistic for Beckett to contribute from DC. If she's working at the AG's office, she will have a lot of work herself. So I hardly see her having time to help out from there.

Filming starts for Episode 6.01 on 9th July. 6.02 starts on 20th. Scripts are given to the cast 2-3 weeks prior to filming.

ReplyDeleteAs for the new detective, I have a few ideas. Yes, she could be replacing Beckett on the team, but to me, Beckett didn't look like she was going to take the job in DC at the end of the finale. Instead, I thought that maybe Gates brings this woman in as Beckett's new partner to balance out the team (since Castle's not a real detective) for whatever reason (although most likely keeping Castle on the team as a consultant-type, like Jane on "The Mentalist"). Or, as @Nat Callaghan mentioned below, Gates creates some sort of leadership role for Beckett (once finding out that she's not leaving but having made it clear that Gates feels that Beckett is capable of doing bigger things) and this new detective comes in to replace her as a regular team member. I don't know; those are just my thoughts. They mainly come from my not wanting Beckett to leave her team.
Ikr, I understand what you're saying. But, in other hand, Kate doesn't had the best behaviour the last couple of episodes, so doens't seem loyal they just got engaded this way. Besides, in castle, everything happens for a reason, this new detective, rachel, she isn't a random character, she'll join to the precint for some reason and for some reason she'll stay for a couple of episodes. Yet, Castle and Kate stayed together this entire season, i don't believe much they will spend another season together and without being apart even for a couple of episodes. Castle is a Drama show, and Andrew Marlowe said last year in a interview that he planed to keep Caskett together and not breaking them up for a while, but then he had to think is something, because happiness is boring and make the shows loose viewers. And, he is right, he also said he is expecting season 7 to be the last, so i guess this season will be more dramatic and the other one will be their happy ending. I believe this season will focus the character development in so many ways, and will be intense, at least is what it seems to me, and i 'd love that idea! Dramatic episodes on castle are usually the ones with more character development.

Well, at first I was also convinced that she was going to say that she stayed (after the "home" situation in the interrogation room), but after this snippet, I believe that they are going in another direction, i.e., she took the job and accepted the proposal. Very Marlowe. I believe she will say that she needs to give this job a try in order not to resent Castle but after a while realizes that it's not really what she wanted, yadda yadda, goes back to NY.

And even if she did leave, there's no way Castle would flirt with the new girl. He hasn't done that in a few years. Why would he start again just because his girlfriend (possibly fiance) has a new job in another city?

I think Stana said the answer would be "in caracther" and "perfect for the show", not that it would be a "yes" or "no"...and she also said there was no reason for Beckett not having both, job and relationship, so...
