That was a pretty terrible episode to be perfectly, and that's even ignoring the fact that I hate B/R. I thought the "You're not precious" line from the ring was hilarious and that was absolutely it. The rest was completely mediocre.
When Barney declared Ted had slept with his sister all I cold think was...doesn't feel that great when the shoe is on the other foot does it. It took a bit to get to the punch line but I loved the mooshy Barney/Robin realization and Barney's reaction to getting what he asked for.
Barney/Robin stuff wasn't cute and was so forced. It was like being force fed some mushed peas or something as a kid. And as bad as that was, the whole Marshall/Lily C-story was that much worse. Like seriously, they are out of ideas. I've watched this show since the pilot in 2005, but I've finally reached the breaking point: this show has to end. That being said, I really did like the Tedy/Barney/sister story line, thought there were some pretty hilarious elements there.
I really liked this episode but must rewatch it to let it sink in. So much BR love I am loving it, they really love each other and only see each other as their future. Really liked Carly, they did go overboard with Barney living through Ted's live but I really think he's over that part of his life and is fully committed to Robin.
The musical part was fun, love invisible Robin and the ending was perfect.

ReplyDeleteI didn't like Barney living vicariously through Ted at first, but they made up for it.
ReplyDeleteA little sad they ruined the "Carly is the Mother" theory, but I'll get over it soon. It was my favorite one, though!
LOL at Barney realizing that Ted was dating his sister. That was a gross and hilarious storyline at the same time.
The Barney/Robin moments were adorable, and I loved them. So cute! And the Marshall/Lily storyline was hilarious.
It was okay. I liked it.
I totally figured it out by barney's expression only
ReplyDeleteAbby Elliot looked cute though..... Nice one Ted ;) ;)
That wasn't Abby. It was Ashley Benson. Abby's going to appear soon, though!
ReplyDeleteOh yes got kinda confused :p
ReplyDeleteGood episode. Loved Barney's reaction to Ted sleeping with his sister and struggling to high five and congratulate Ted while also appalled.
ReplyDeleteHa, that's when I figured it out, too! The second I saw his face freeze, I thought, "Oh no... they went there." So great :)
ReplyDeleteI need an option below awful for this one.
ReplyDeleteI voted OK. Apart from a few scenes, this episode was really boring.

ReplyDeleteLoved it when Robin said "A way that's gonna last forever"
